I just won this set in an auction on EBay & was looking at sample cards on SCS made with this set.
Re: photographing cards. If you look at your camera's settings in its Menu, there should be a White Balance setting where you can choose Daylight, Tungsten or Fluorescent. Most digital cameras choose 'Auto', but you can override by selecting what you want. Play around with it & see the difference.
BTW, you are SO funny!! I've been sitting here cackling away at what I have been reading on your Blog. Though, you did use a word that I am not familiar with - "housework" - please explain! ;-)
Oh, and I really love your cards - they are so gorgeous. You are a CAS-Master!!Jocelyn aka JoBear2 on SCShttp://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=500&ppuser=195423noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9008375791436102784.post-4741379798006824202009-11-03T06:02:55.344-05:002009-11-03T06:02:55.344-05:00I like the scalloped border with this branch image...I like the scalloped border with this branch image because I think there is a nice contrast between the curve of the border and pointy-ness of the leaves. The red ribbon is a nice accent.

I have tons of windows in my house but since we live in the woods, I don't get a lot of light. So even if I knew which one was a south facing window, it wouldn't make a difference for my photography. And photographing outside is only an option on occasion. What I finally ended up doing was to buy a "natural daylight" bulb at the home improvement store and use it in a clamp light fixture. I don't have great photos, but I think it gives a more natural light than incandescent and it's something I can live with.Susan (peebsmama)https://www.blogger.com/profile/04685117319252711640noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9008375791436102784.post-79413560973264488832009-11-01T14:51:53.614-05:002009-11-01T14:51:53.614-05:00DITTO! I thought I could punch out the branch you used to make the Mistletoe card, but the greenery from the Poinsettia stamp has a unique delicacy that is so perfect with the bow, so perfect with the sentiment, so perfect with the edge punch....so perfect with the colors, oh my. I really do love this card and think the arched lattice punch would have made it too fussy. Your instincts are always so perfect it blows me away.

The bluish tint you mention is so slight as to not matter, probably because my brain knows you most often use white, so that's what I see.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9008375791436102784.post-40940903092297062262009-11-01T08:22:09.936-05:002009-11-01T08:22:09.936-05:00This is fabulous! I'm another one who thought it a tiny bit odd that they weren't poinsettia leaves, but they make me think of the tip of a Christmas tree branch (like a Douglas fir or something), so I like them and think they go well with a Christmas set. But I think in other colors and contexts, they could also look tropical.Sharon Dnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9008375791436102784.post-67039597507588707792009-10-31T11:05:32.794-04:002009-10-31T11:05:32.794-04:00I thought the same thing about those lease not loo...I thought the same thing about those lease not looking like pointsettia leaves but they certainly can be useful as you've proven here.
