It coats the back of the ribbon with adhesive and then I just place the ribbon where I want it. I cut the ribbon a bit longer than the card before I put it through the Xyron. That gives me something to hold on to as I'm placing the ribbon. Then after I place the ribbon on the card, I snip off the ends so that they are flush with the edge of the card. I recommend the repositionable adhesive cartridge over the permanent one.

JanetAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9008375791436102784.post-35264586392517870502011-01-04T22:57:48.140-05:002011-01-04T22:57:48.140-05:00I have always wondered what people did with the ri...I have always wondered what people did with the ribbon on the inside of the cards... To attach ribbon to my card fronts I tend to cut a piece of card just a fraction narrower than the ribbon and fix the ribbon onto this before gluing it to the front of the card, this way I have no inside tidying up to do and because the cut of card is a tiny bit narrower it doesn't show that it's there!Happy New Year to you,Julie.xJuliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07557387266933824296noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9008375791436102784.post-82079417504133682642011-01-03T14:16:02.695-05:002011-01-03T14:16:02.695-05:00I liked both cards.I liked both cards.JoLynnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07693454713924177306noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9008375791436102784.post-49517325961540237212011-01-03T12:07:42.453-05:002011-01-03T12:07:42.453-05:00Both cards are wonderful! Both cards are wonderful!TrishGhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06046344996961729699noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9008375791436102784.post-35544279838567954462011-01-03T12:05:32.161-05:002011-01-03T12:05:32.161-05:00Love seeing your thought processes, Susan. I love that beautiful SU stamp and have been lusting after it but have to act with restraint. It's quite routine for me to think that I am done with a card, photo it, download it to my computer and then see it - and I find that I need to change something. I need to invent an adhesive that stays removable for the 15 minutes or so that it takes me to do this! I find the photo is particularly helpful with placement, i.e. the rule of thirds. I can tell in the photo that the balance just isn't right!

Happy New Year to you - and I thank you ever so much for your blog.
