Just a Note Variations on a Set: The Love Series

My new resolution is to use every set I own in four different layouts, so I pulled out Just a Note from Hero Arts for some fun office-supply themed cards. And then I proceeded to make this series of Love Notes, all using one layout. Please also note the use of 2.5 sheets of pretty in pink cardstock. GO, ME!

Whimsical Love

Elegant Love

Sweet, Yet Vaguely Obessive-Compulsive,  Love

Swirly Love

Directional Love

All the cards are top-fold, except the last. The arrow sort of required the card to open in the direction the arrow pointed, now, didn't it?

Which one is your favorite? I think mine is Swirly Love.

I didn't keep track of all the random hearts and sentiments I used. If you HAVE to know what one of them is, I'll try and figure it out. The notebook paper, however, is from the Just a Note set. I used a 1/8" circle punch to punch the holes, and popped each note on dimensionals.

Anyway, I have three more cards with this set to show you on Thursday. Tomorrow is, of course, One-Layer Wednesday. Hope you had a chance to play with Jennifer's OLW challenge last week!

  1. They're all adorable...Somehow I think I have to "add one thing". You have such restraint!

  2. All these cards are just wonderful. My favorite is the elegant heart. I never cease to be amazed at how creative you are. I struggle so to make a single layout from a stamp set.

  5. It's a toss up between Elegant Love and the hugs and kisses one. I like all of them though!

  8. Swirly Love is my fav, too. I'm actually making a set of note cards to take to Iowa to give to my nephew (he's a pastor) this weekend for inviting us to come and visit him. They are based on one of your designs. I learn so much from you! I'll be post them before we leave.

  10. This is wonderful! I have been inspired to make note card sets by the work you do...however, none of mine have turned out quite as endearing as your sets.

  11. I would probably have more fun with Directional Love since the reader would be so motivated to see what is inside. For that reason it is my favorite. Then the giver would only need a clever message for the inside.

  13. I liked the swirly love and the elegant love but I would be like some of the other commentors...I would be adding stuff. I have no restraint! LOL and I am always saying I love your simplicity.

  18. Susan, I love these. I have a note paper stamp from Stampabilites and I've been using it for my messages on the inside of cards. After seeing your cards, it seems quite odd to me that I didn't think of using it on the outside. LOL Ah, but that's why I get your blog into my email box every day. ;)))) I also have a coupon stamp good for 1 Hug, that would be cute used the same way!! Now, you've got me thinking outside of the card. ((2 thumbs up/high five/rock on sign, etc.)) I love them all and pure fact that you can put any message that needs to be said on them. =D
