Sunday Vacation and a Sticky Little Give-Away

No card today, but I am so happy I got a ship notice on my latest PTI order! In celebration, I'm going to give away a roll of 1/8" Scor-Tape to a random comment on today's post. All you have to do is share what papercraft supplies you ordered or bought recently. Leave a comment before midnight Monday, June 20.

IMPORTANT NOTES: 1) For those reading Simplicity in your email, you must click to the blog and leave a comment in order to be entered in the drawing. 2) Also, if you're having a problem leaving your comment, keep clicking the comment button...I sometimes have to click it four or five times before a comment will post on blogger blogs. If you keep being returned to the sign-in page of Google, uncheck the Stay Logged In box. That should allow you to leave comments not only on my blog, but on all blogger blogs as well.

My PTI order includes Gracious Vases, Happy Trails, Mehndi Medallion, Grunge Me, and the Gingham background set. Oh, I can't wait!!!!!

So, what have YOU bought recently?

  8. I finally gave in, and bought some Copics with birthday money from grandma. I went ahead and got 4 of the Papertrey trio colors and a blender. I held out as long as I could!

  9. Well, you know we're all going to order what you did, knowing that you're going to come up with some fabulous cards we'll want to copy! I just got an order from SU, including the stamp set "Sunny Fun," which is borders of popsicles, flip flops, and kids playing in water. It's cute, and I thought it'd make great summer cards. Also got some Real Red CS, as I think it's the prettiest red in the industry, some SU dimensionals (also the best I've found), mellow moss CS @ $1.99 Clearance Rack, and some ribbon & twine. I SO want PTI's Gracious Vases! I'm looking forward to see what you'll do with it. Also, a brand new Michael's opened a mile from my house yesterday. Eek! I see a constant flow of $ there. I got some Ranger ink pads, a couple HA stamps, a MS punch and various stuff. I gotta' quit buying!.......right after Gracious Vases......

  14. Love those PTI orders! Sounds like you have a fun one coming! My latest purchase is an Inkadinkadoo stamp from Mike's...a new one they are carrying...never saw it before...of a bottle holding a poppy. Gorgeous! I have it inked up and stamped...now trying to gather up the courage to color it!

    ReplyDelete
  15. I so want what you ordered. As a matter of fact, it's sitting in my shopping cart. Just haven't had the time to go back and think about what i really want. What I did order recently, are 8 new Amuse Ink Pads. I just love them.

    ReplyDelete
  16. So funny you should ask...I just ordered $60 worth of stamps and Spellbinders label dies from Two Peas in a Bucket yesterday! I can't wait to get some Hero Arts stamps that were on clearance...one in particular I'm excited about is the florish background. I've wanted it forever!

    ReplyDelete

  18. I had a little shopping trip yesterday ... the newest Take Ten magazine, a Martha Stewart Bangle Chain border punch, and lots of new 6" paper pads. ♥ it all.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Sadly, I have not purchased any stamping supplies in over a year! But I am having fun rediscovering what I already have, shopping in my own stash as it were. ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  20. Very fun to read what everyone is purchasing. I just received the lastest SU In Colors (paper and ink). My favorite new stamps are some of the Technique Tuesday stamps from Ali Edwards. I love that she uses different fonts in one sentiment.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Happy Sunday to you! Rec'd my PTI shipping order too. I'm collecting the Flower Fusion sets and dies so those are on the way along with a Tag It set and the YOF mini collection. Hoping it all arrives Monday!

  25. I just got my PTI notice that it will be shipping out Monday and I expect it will be delivered next week :) I ordered the Gracious Vases Stamp set, Sweet Baby Stamp set and coordinating die and the Rhythm & Soul Stamp set. I think I should have ordered the music background stamp, too, or maybe I can find some old music sheets that I can use as a bg.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I love scor-tape! I'll give it a try -
I just finished ordering on-line about 8 re-inkers for the Ranger distress inks (especially Antique Linen because I'll be using that color for my wedding invitations - all 300+ of them!)

    Thanks for the opportunity!
    Hugs!

  27. I love the Scor-tape, and I learned about it from you Susan! My latest PTI purchases were Sending You and Mat Stack 3 back in March. More recently, I've been buying Minkee to make a little taggie for my grandchild - Jackson - born this week, and Moda Full Circle monograms and fabrics by Kathy Schmitz.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Through overstock.com I bought a small snowman stamp by Unity, and a Tim Holtz set whose name escapes me. It's the one with an airplane, map, compass, and airline boarding pass. So cool!

    ReplyDelete
  29. Bought a ton of Stampin Up! Really love my new ribbon punch, and am excited about the melon mambo EP! As soon as I pinish this powerpoint for my professor hubby, I am all over it!

    ReplyDelete
  30. I am eagerly awaiting my ship notice from Papertrey! Got some goodies from my *very* long wish list with some birthday gift certificates and card making moolah. I also ordered Mehndi Medallions & Gracious Vases as well as Polka Dots Basics II and several dies to add to my collection. I have been a long-time fan of your work on SCS and am now a happy follower of your blog. Quite fitting that this is my first blog comment! :o)

  31. Scrap-mart exclusive dies (2 sets) and my first ZING embossing powders, both on the way... And a couple embossing folders. I have nearly 200 now... (oops), but love 'em all!

now i need a way to catalogue them... So i don't have to go thru that big box... :)

ps; love your blog! I check daily!

    I am so addicted.

  34. The latest things I ordered are stamps from Hero Arts - the peacock, row of houses and the poppy backgrounder stamp. I didn't place a PTI order this month, but plan to in July. I have to have that Medallion set for sure! I did buy a few things here and there on the Buy/Sell/Trade forum to hold me over! Thanks for the chance to win some scor tape! I don't have the 1/8" size!

  40. Firstly, I love your blog and read every day. Thanks for sharing your talent with us. My latest purchase is two stamp sets from Artistic Outpost and I am so excited to get these vintage sets. Loving vintage and grunge right now and can't get enough of the style. Blessings, Diane

  41. Tough to order stuff in Canada at the moment with our postal service locked out! So I had to make do with Michael's 40% off sale on distress inks, instead. :P I've never used scor-tape, but you could change that. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  42. I have been having fun playing with some new cling stamps. Also, I decided to try the pink ATG because of a ridiculously great price. I wondered if its size would make it difficult to use, but it's easy and precise and the adhesive is strong - yea! I'm still pondering a PTI order....

    ReplyDelete
  43. I treated myself to a few sheets of fun patterned paper and a cool ribbon rosette embellishment on clearance at Michael's on Friday. Nothing much but enough to have a little something new to play with!

    ReplyDelete
  44. Susan, I enjoy reading your blog every single day. I love your English major humor, and writing. Clean and simple cards make me smile too. Thank you for sharing your design tips as well. I try to remember them as I craft (is that a verb?). My latest purchase was punches. I'm getting tired of cutting! Thanks for sharing.

  45. The last papercrafting supplies I bought are numerous: pounds of paper and envelopes from Hollo's paper outlet; about ten small one dollar ink pads "studio g" from Michaels, my first set of clear stamps (a set which includes one which says: "Enjoy the simple things" and two sets of pearls - one black and one pink.

    Thanks -- Paper Doll

  46. Loved the pear story and all I can say right now is that "Now I know!" LOL

I just places a $200.00 order for COPIC markers and the new book to learn how to color like a pro. I sent the site to my daughter who is self-taught copic colorer' and told her to put down what I need. Of course she included a couple of things for herself but that was part of the deal! Sticky tape is a great win - use it a lot for 3-d gift items.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Funny you should ask about craft purchases.I recently bought 6 Jet Max cubes for more organized storage and promptly ordered more stuff! A new Nestie and Score Buddy from Cut at home and several rolls of ribbon off the SU clearance rack. So weak when it comes to sales.
Score tape is one of the items I have been meaning to try. Thanks for the chance.
    Let the pears Rock ON!

  48. I ordered from the PTI release - Mendhi Medallion, Tags Its, Think Big Favorites and the Fruit Fusion: Pear. Love those $5 sets! Since I'm on the West Coast, I have to wait far too long for my PTI goodies to arrive, but hopefully I'm have them by the end of the week. Thanks for the chance to win!

  49. Oh. no. you. did. not. order. Happy Trails.

To think I had this set in my cart and removed it because I remembered... butterfly farts.

Gracious Vases and Daydreamer are on their way.

  50. Hi Susan! I enjoy reading your blog. I recently bought the Martha Stewart Score Board and love it. I need a new paper cutter...any thoughts about a good one? I really get frustrated when my cuts aren't nice and square.

    ReplyDelete
  51. I WISH I could order something from PTI but right now there's no extra money in the coffers! I have Grunge me and you'll love it. I wanted the vase set. In fact for 6 weeks I've been making an order over on PTI - the total is up over $300, now. Doubt that will ever happen but there's so many things I want from them. Every release has something tempting. I figure some day I'll print off my order and then chose what I can afford and make a new order with much less on it. The last stamp set I got, which was a week ago, was one the I won - Friendship Jar Holiday Fillers. Love all of the images from it.

  52. I spent so much, I feel like I deprived a family of its yearly income! At least after you convert USD to Indian Rupees! I finally am getting my cuttle bug, my very first order of PTI stamps and dies! I got that seriously awesome sentiment set by Dawn-Signature greetings, and my very favorite butterfly dreams (being a butterfly obsessive person). Just waiting till I can get my hands on them and play...of course, then I'll start planning for my next splurge, thereby making myself even more guilty!!

    ReplyDelete
  53. *claps* it's always a good start when I find out I've just bought most of the same products you have! You're never short of inspiration to share with us tired and jaded folk. Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  54. Can't wait to see what you do with those PTI sets! They are all on my wishilst. Even though a local friend and I normally place a group order during PTI's releases, we didn't place an order this month since we are both saving up for the $100 order on 7/23. But I just got their chevrons set and some felt from another forum member.

Thanks for giveaway! I have been thinking about buying some Scor-Tape and would love to win a roll of it.

  56. I just purchased a case of Tombow refills. Not very exciting, but necessary. By ordering in bulk, I got them for $1.67 each. I use a lot, because I can't stand for a project to fall apart for lack of sufficient tape. Tried the ATG and liked the results, but it hurts my wrist.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Sólo papeles!!! lo demás puedo crearlo, pero me gusta tener buenos papeles para comenzar a trabajar y eso compro.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Thank you for the opportunity to win the Scor-Tape! I have the opportunity to visit Hobby Lobby tomorrow and will see what goodies I can find. My last order was the Four-Frames stamp set from SU and I love it!

  60. Love the cards sent to you and your own dolphin card!

Breaking a vow I made to myself I ordered some pretty dp-Blue Awning and Blossom by K&Company-love their pretty papers. Considering I haven't made a card in probably a month-weather, gardening, yardwork, graduations, weddings, etc. getting in the way-I sure don't need to buy anymore. I will need the tape!! :>)

Thanks for sharing and a chance to win.

  61. I bought a dollar stamp with a graduation theme and a little roll of white ric rac. I have been saving my pennies lately!

    ReplyDelete
  62. I just received two stamp sets from Papertrey--the dot spots and the framed set. I also bought the frilly button dies to use with my cuttle-bug.Thanks for the chance to win some tape!

    ReplyDelete
  63. I walked into a small local craft store to find they had the latest Graphic 45 paper and stamps. Wizard of Oz is the theme and I squeed out loud! I've wanted these but haven't seen them and was surprised to see they had it so I jumped at the chance. I am soooo happy! :D

    ReplyDelete
  64. I was so happy last week when my order of stamps from Rubbernecker arrived just before our postal strike started! Two lovely poinsettia stamps (one large, one small so ideal to cut out and layer), a spray of petunias, and a basket of mixed flowers.

I love the Scor-Tape - it's how I stick all my cards together now.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Susan -- Thanks for the chance to win and for your great blog. I am a daily visitor for inspiration and a laugh! My last purchase was tape from "tapetastic". Not quite as "washi-ish" as I was hoping, but it will be fun to use anyway.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Thanks for the chance to win! My latest purchase was some used Amuse stamps! They are so cute!

    ReplyDelete
  67. I just received a large order from Blockheads Paper Arts. I was critically low on embossing powders...so I purchased 3 of the gigantic size containers. And, four Stickles, a Memento marker in pink, and some double sided tape. Lots of nuts and bolts kind of stuff. Also received some CS and the Square lattice embossing folder from Stampin' Up.

    ReplyDelete
  68. I just ordered some HA stamps (backgrounds like the "envelope" and "ledger) and some lemondrop, honeydew and teal baker's twine from an etsy shop. Still debating on a PTI order. Thanks for a chance to win.

    ReplyDelete
  69. My most recent orders have come from Mark's Finest Papers (thanks to you) and Ellen Hutson (Hero Arts and Memory Box dies).

    ReplyDelete
  70. My most recent delivery was from CTMH--a birthday set with inside and outside verses.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Going to try a comment thanks to your technical advice. Ironically, I've been trying to make my most recent purchase Scor-Tape but have been unsuccessful in finding it. Otherwise, my most recent order was Friday from River City Rubber Works during their half off sale. And since I used a gift certificate that I also purchase at half off, I pretty much got $40 worth of stamps for $10. Cool!

    ReplyDelete
  72. I just made an EBay purchase - a retired StampinUp set that has some chess pieces perfect for cards for my grandson! I would love to win-thanks for the chance to win :)

  76. Gah - what *haven't* I bought lately!!! I've been on a binge (I attribute it to early onset empty nester syndrome, as my one and only leaves for college all the way across the US in only 9 weeks). So I've been shopping online and locally - paper, stamps, inks, you name it. Sadly, my crafting mojo has left me high and dry, so it's all just piling up, waiting for the day when my creative spark decides to surface again.
But it is a lot of fun getting all these packages! ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  77. Wow! I think my most recent packages were some MS punches, an Anna Griffin card kit, some Spellbinders Nestabilities and some Quickie Glue Sticks. I run through adhesives at an alarming rate. My favorites include: Scor-Tape, Tombow runner and Quickie glue sticks.

    ReplyDelete
  78. I haven't bought very much lately. I'm on a crafting diet trying to use up what I already have. The last items I bought were some scrapbooking papers to make a book for my new baby girl.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Ok, fairly recently I bought an ATG gun. BUT I don't love it. Possibly don't even like it. Good thing I bought it 1/2 off. *sigh*
I also went to a recent show (kind of local)and bought some stuff. I felt very accomplished when I left until I looked through my bags and realized that I had only bought two stamps (well, sets) and a bunch of markers. Nothing was all that thrilling. *double sigh*
Have I finally reached that ideal state where I've got enough stuff? Nah..... ;D

    ReplyDelete
  80. My June PTI order (don't have it yet) will include Gracious Vases and Mehndi Medallion--so I can't wait to see what you do with those sets! Please use them often! I also ordered Daydreamer, Tag-its 5 and Think Big Faves 5.

    ReplyDelete
  81. I just placed an order in June for PTI things too! Love what you ordered. I almost ordered the same things. I also got the baby stamps and dies too. With only 3 months left to go until the baby's here, I've got tons of baby things I want to make!! :)

  82. I recently stumbled upon a sale bin of A muse stamps at AC Moore for $2 or less, and I scored the fancy egg for 25 cents! I couldn't resist some others : Danish proverb, flower drinks and under the weather. Thanks for the chance to win some goodies.

    ReplyDelete
  83. That's so funny that you asked that question! The brown truck just dropped off 3 boxes of stamp sets that I ordered! They were best dad ever, herb expressions, define your life, many merry messages, God's blessings, pennant parade bundle(stamp set, ribbon,DSP & punch),matchbox messages & all in the family stamp sets! Oh yeah, I almost forgot the thanks embosslit. I can't wait to start playing with them!
I would love to win some scor tape! Thanks for the chance to win an awesome giveaway!
