Thanksgiving Tags

I originally made these tags for my Gratitude Trees, but they ended up being too big. I decided we would use them on Thanksgiving to write down what we are grateful for.

We'll fill them out after we eat our feast on Thanksgiving, and then I'll eventually put them in a scrapbook.

Sunday, we hiked one of the Metro Parks in our area and enjoyed a warm and breezy fall day. Then George cooked his orange chicken recipe, and I collapsed into a food coma.

I hope y'all had a lovely weekend full of fun and food, too.

Supplies
stamps: Papertrey (various)
ink: Memento
paper: SU chocolate chip, cherry cobbler, more mustard, pumpkin pie; PTI natural
accessories: tab punch (Marvy), circle punches, corner punch (SU), burlap thread

  4. What a great keepsake to put in a scrapbook. I dream of the day when we remind ourselves every day how much we have to be thankful for, not just on holidays when we feel free to express it. I may make some and send them with my Christmas cards, asking people to fill them out and keep them within daily view. Thanks for the wonderful idea. I, too, wouldn't mind getting the recipe. I don't cook much, but have a mother and sister who love to. I usually give them a recipe for my birthday and ask them to make it as their gift to me. Fun for all!

  5. What a wonderful idea for your Thanksgiving day! I used to keep a journal in which I'd daily write ten things I'm thankful for. Seems I got too busy for that, but I still get it out and read it every once in a while. I should start it up again now that I'm slowing the pace.

  6. I'd share the recipe if there were one. George likes to improvise, so it changes every time. I'll see what I can do.

  8. We do "thankful for" slips on Thanksgiving -- I may steal your tag idea to make them this year, but mine'll have only a couple of lines, because we read ours aloud before dinner, and, well, I'm always hungry for Thanksgiving!

  9. L-O-V-E this idea! Gonna CASE it! We usually just go around the table and say what we're thankful for, but this will make a great layout! :)

  10. We also just say what we're thankful for, but having a written reminder would be SO much nicer! Our Thanksgiving Day celebration got a bit tearful at times this year - hopefully, we'll have so much more to be thankful for next year! (and I'll make sure to get it all written down!).
What a wonderful project to do - thanks! (I may have more than 10 things to be thankful for!)
