One Tired Sweet Pea

Since I had Papertrey's Green Thumb out, I decided to make a generic note card (not for an occasion, just for cuteness). A little masking (that didn't work the first time so I had to start over), and we get sweet peas!

I've been thinking (a dangerous pastime, I know) about stuff and things...nothing cosmic or alarming...related to creativity and experimenting, play and growth and new stuff. I hope to be able to share these thoughts soon, but they are currently too amorphous (nebulous? diaphanous? infantile? no, not infantile...embryonic?) at the moment.

Have a lovely Presidents' Day (assuming the apostrophe is correct...does anyone know?). I (for one) plan on being quite parenthetical (for no reason other than I haven't used them much lately and feel sorry for them).

And no, I haven't been drinking (aside from that little glass of chardonnay hours ago that accompanied a delicious bowl of my hub's chicken fried rice). It's just been a really weird weekend (and not bad weird, just weird), and I'm seriously tired (and punchy).

Peace out.

(Did I punctuate that correctly? It doesn't look right. Why do I want to put a comma after peace?)

(Yes. I know. I'm going to bed immediately.)

(You're welcome.)

  8. I'm pretty sure it's the chardonnay, Susan (it's affectionately known around here as "liquid crack") And it will mess you up every time, so I never drink it in public!
    Love your little pea card!
    Have a great un-wierd week.

  9. You just crack me up! I look forward to your posts every day. Not that I don't appreciate your stamping wisdom, but it's the wit that really makes me happy. Have a great President's Day.

  10. Lovely card. Placement is everything.

Weird weekend here, too. I went to bed early last night, and I slept for eleven hours. DH knows better than to wake me when this happens. I recommend it, highly. (Every six weeks or so.)

  11. Cute card! And you can never have too many baby/baby shower cards. I do believe the comma is after the end of the word, since it is not only possessive but plural. Unless you're talking about ONE specific president, that is. As for the comma, I think you did it right. Unless you're talking to someone named "out." And I am by no means an expert, and could have both instances completely wrong. In any event, I enjoyed your card!

  12. Quite the post today (which is not to say other days are lacking). I'm glad to hear that your thoughts are merely tenuous, vague, imprecise, ill-formed, hazy, or discombobulated (as opposed to infantile). And I think (from my little corner of the world) that "peace out" is a command as opposed to a valediction [which by the way, I had to look up not knowing the antonym of "salutation"]).

  13. If you were talking on a walkie-talkie, and your name was Peace, "Peace, out" would work. :D Perfect little sweet pea card. Oh, and someone somewhere today said that either Presidents or Presidents' is acceptable. Of course what do I know; here in Ontario I'm celebrating Family Day. :P
