Naughty or Nice, Again

Please allow me to return to A Muse's Naughty or Nice set with a card that uses my new folder tab punch.
*spasms of joy*

Six things I love about this card:

1. The folder tabs, which I made using 5/8"-wide strips fed into the punch's underside so the words would fit (naughty was a little long for the punch). That punch totally rocks!!!!

2. The dimensionals used to pop only the top of the Nice folder.

3. The red card base...don't see that here often, do you?

4. I colored. Again. That's twice in one week. Score!

5. The white Flower Soft, which I noticed after I took the photograph needs a bit of a trim.

6. The fact that I've already made so many Christmas cards and it's still just March.

Supplies
stamps: A Muse
ink: Memento
paper: red (unknown), white (PTI)
accessories: folder tab punch, scallop scissors (to round tops of folders), Flower Soft, dimensionals, red Memento marker, glue

  1. Great Christmas card. I've been doing the Merry Monday challenge, which has a sketch for a new Christmas card every Monday. We've been challenged to make one a week, but I'm doing at least 4 of the same one, and I'm trying to use a different stamp every week without buying anymore. So far, so good.

  3. Such fun. Love the folder idea for the card. What make is it? I have been looking for something like that for ages and never come across one.

  9. I really like this one! I've never seen a file folder tab punch but will have to look for that one! I recently used the Tim Holtz "On the Edge" folder tab die and I like it, but I've come to prefer punches over dies a lot of the time. Hmmm... but I'm not giving up any of my dies either... guess I love them both.

I really love the red card base, too.

  10. This is so good! Love the folders - I haven't seen that punch anywhere - it's great! and the very subtle message that of course the recipient of this card will be in the nice file! Red card base always screams Christmas to me and I love how it goes with that 'grinchy' hat - not sure why this set reminds me of the Grinch. But Amuse doesn't sell in Canada anymore......sigh.

  11. What a different, creative card! Each of the 6 elements you mentioned really make this card something special. The tab punch isn't a MS punch, is it? SU? It's very cool! I love the red CS for the base, too. This card really pops. Thanks for a really new and different idea for a Christmas card!

  12. I am SO impressed. Every year I say to myself that I'm going to start doing Christmas cards right after New Years, because they are my favorite cards to make. Then, life takes over and I don't seem to get to it. You ROCK!

  13. I love the red card base! And your colouring! And your flower soft!

I totally relate to your reason number 6. For the last couple of years, I've done SCS's Christmas Card Challenge - I commit to 6 cards a month. It is the greatest feeling come November to see that stack of Christmas cards already made!
