Riffin' on Yesterday's Jane

Today's cards use the same elements as yesterday's card but gave me a chance to use the tiny little stamps that come with the Simply Jane set from Papertrey. They also gave me a chance to pull out a couple more border punches and play around with them. Oh how I love my punches!

Does anyone else think the word "missed" in the above sentiment is hard to read? The handwritten font is pretty, but man, that word doesn't look right. It's the "m" that's to blame, I think.

I'm eyeball deep in chaos still, and fighting a cold. Whine, whine.

On a happier note, please remember that the last OLW is extended until NEXT Wednesday, so keep playing!!!!

  1. Hi Susan - such pretty cards. I agree about the 'm' ...... it looks more like 'sn' until you realise the last word is much, then you can work it out!

  2. Your designs are beautiful! Sorry about the cold. Hang in there! The bugs always find us when our stress levels are maxed. Take a break from the blogs if that helps. We'll sniss you, but we'll be here waiting to see how you've stylishly put it all together!

  3. Lovely cards! But I agree with you about the word 'missed'. At first glance, I thought you 'snirred' someone so much. LOL

  4. I love my punches, too, but I forget about them. I love your color combos, particularly the orange and yellow that's so springy. Yes, I think "missed" would be hard to read on its own, but in the context of the line you don't even notice it. Lovely cards today --- as every day. Snorted at Darnell saying we'd "sniss" you --- cute!

  5. Totally agree that the "m" is hard to read it - I had to stare at it for a minute to figure it out. But otherwise, they are both great sentiments. And you made beautiful cards with them.

  6. Great cards! I have so many punches I really need to use one or more on every single card I make for years to come. LOL!! Isn't is funny how we all see things differently? For me, it was the two s's that looked odd. The m is spread out too much, but my eyes still saw an m right away.

Hope you feel better soon. Colds are just no fun.

  7. Great cards! Yup, you are right - I don't really see a "m" there. (or is it "an "m"?) Too confusing. I just thought it was my feeble age/eyesight! tee hee

  8. You're correct - the "m" is not clearly an "m.". I think your cards are great - love the punches!

  9. So agree about the awful graphics on this font.....if it's not immediately readable it fails miserably....surprised at PTI - well, in the present clime over there, it seems anything goes! This definitely should not have got past the proof reader. The card of course is great!

  10. I had to squint and turn my laptop back and forth. I finally read what came after it and figured it out that way. ;-) It's amazing what a nice little border can do to jazz up a card.

  11. Had to laugh when I read this post. I've not bought things (stamps, T-shirts...) because something about the grammar/font bugged me. Maybe that comes from having a graphic designer Dad (in the pre-PC days, that is).
