Update and this Week's OLW Location

Well, the past few days have gotten away from me for a number of reasons, thankfully not associated with the storm.

We've been very fortunate here in southwest Ohio...just rain and wind, but nothing terribly extreme. My heart goes out to all those who have lost power and sustained property damage, but most especially to those who have been injured or lost loved ones in the super storm. I hope my regular readers on the east coast can let us know how they are doing.

I hope to have some time in my craft room tomorrow and resume posting here either tomorrow or Thursday.

In the meantime, you'll find this week's OLW challenge on Ardyth's blog! Check it out Wednesday morning!

  1. From Maryland - I was glad to see Sandy go! We're still without power, lost it at about 4:45 PM on Monday. Had a huge tree come down in our back yard that thankfully missed the neighbors fancy swingset and their screened in porch! It took out a section of our fence but that's not a big deal :>). Will be so glad when our power comes back on but knowing it could be so much worse I'm quite thankful.

  2. Thank you, Elise!!!! My sister and mom are both in MD as well, and they don't have power either. Lost some trees on their wooded lot, but no damage otherwise.

Blessings to you, Elise, and may your power be back on lickety-split!

  3. Went to Delaware yesterday to checkon our home there, only water intehgarage fromunder the door. The pond beside us is very full, but about 2 feet from the top, so we were fortunate. Our hoe in Md survived fine, just as we did and fortunately for us the power is on. Just viewing the pictures of hte stomrs destruction is so saddening. May the indiviudals most affected by the stome , feel the prayers and care of others at theis time

  4. Here in New Jersey and so glad you're posting - I need a diversion from the sadness all around. While my hometown is 90% without power my neighborhood was restored after 7 hours - and that was DURING the storm. God Bless the electricians out is that terrible wind and rain.
Crafting would be nice but my 2 grandsons (and their parents) have moved in while they're without power.
