I'm Back

Whew. What a busy visit from my in-laws...and so much fun!

And now for some more Simplicity Christmas. First, we varied red berry embellishments, and now we're varying color. Today's post is further evidence that having lots of supplies can be a very good thing.

A VERY good thing.

Green Christmas
Here, we've covered all the main colors of the season, with a little pink thrown in because I could and it was cool.

To make these, I first stamped the wreath in gray, and then the berries in a light color to compliment the Smooch. The Smooch is opaque, so it completely covers the color you stamp and allowed the red and green card easily. It was so much fun to vary the colors this way, and it allowed me to use a whole bunch of my Smooch colors in one go.

Fun, eh? Which is your favorite?

Supplies
stamps: Papertrey Wreath for All Seasons
ink: Memento
paper: Papertrey white
accessories: Smooch, corner rounder

  1. Love it when you can get all these different variations out of one idea! Personally I like the blue one best, I'm always drawn to those in the wintertime:)

  2. I can't even say why, but I adore that blue one! :) Which means I must pin it... and then I'll be on Pinterest for the rest of the night. *sigh* Girls gotta do what a girls gotta do! ;)

  3. I like all of them but agree with Petra and Mari about the blue one. It is my favorite. I have a ques. though. You stamped in gray, then did the berries in a light ink? Followed by more berries in your Smooch colors? I guess I can't tell for sure but it almost looks like the twigs are colored too (more than just the grey). Just wondering because I just may need to CASE these cards.
So glad you had a good time with your in-laws. I really liked my mother-in-laws (had 2 b/c of divorce) but my father-in-law and sisters-in-law are another story altogether! Let's not go there! LOL

  4. My fave is the red and green, I must be a traditionalist. I just love red in any color. Lol. Wondering too, did you paint your entire stamp with the smooch or just dab on the berries.

  5. The red and green is the most Christmas-y one. But I also love the red and pink one.

  7. I've never used a SMOOCH product so I'm not clear on the how/when to use them? I love the BLUE...cool and soothing and elegant.

  10. Ooooh, fantastic! I've been meaning to order that set. I think you have me sold! They all look great, but I'm leaning a little towards the red/pink and the green x2.
