Sometimes, a happy punch of color is all a layout needs to stand out!
This card uses stamps from the Beautiful Blooms II set from Papertrey, but any trio of differently-sized flowers would work. Placing the biggest bloom at the top left helps balance the sentiment on the bottom right. Different sizes of bling, arranged in a visual triangle and scaled to each flower, add interest and balance as well as movement to the design.
Supplies
stamps: Papertrey Birthday Bash Sentiments, Beautiful Blooms II
ink: VersaColor scarlet and black
paper: Papertrey white
accessories: black rhinestones, dimensionals
I like the way you balanced the flowers. The red with the pop of black is a great color combo. I love the sentiment font.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card! Lovin' this layout! A handy one to have in the sketch book for sure!!! Thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteOooh! I love this one! So bold and yet so simple!
ReplyDeleteSo so pretty - a beautiful creation.
ReplyDeleteThis is a real attention getting card!
ReplyDeleteWOW
Gorgeous :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! And kudos to Papertrey for having three matching, yet different sized, bloom in their set. I have several sets with only two flowers of different sizes. That leaves me unsettled.
ReplyDeleteReally stunning, definitely a card the recipient would display proudly! I like the pop of red, festive for a birthday.
ReplyDeleteLovely, Susan! Just curious how you decided on what size to make your focal image. DId you stamp the flowers & then cut or choose your dimensions first? This is a keeper because the possibilities are endless. TFS!
ReplyDeleteThe focal point piece was a scrap left over from another card. I stamped it already cut, and aimed to make sure the center of each flower was not too close to the edge. Hope that helps!
ReplyDeleteVery helpful tip ~ thanks, Susan!
DeleteI love the colour on this. It makes a statement but doesn't take over.
