Somehow, if I use them, all the time I spend on Pinterest doesn't seem such a waste.
Anyway, here is the pin I used to make today's card:

And here is the card I made:
Quilts provide a huge amount of inspiration for card-making. Why not check out quilt pins and get inspired?
Do you use your Pinterest boards? Do you pin at all? Inquiring minds and all that....

Yes, I pin and yes, I use what I pin to inspire me. Made several cards this week to prove it! Now to get them photo'd and on my blog. Love this idea of using a quilt for even more inspiration!
ReplyDeleteYep, I absolutely do, like you, to justify the time wasted browsing. My last couple of irregular posts have incorporated a couple of inspiration pieces.
ReplyDeleteI'm signed up for Pinterest, that's all. I'm sort if scared to get started :) I like your card.
ReplyDeleteMeant I'm sort OF scared.
ReplyDeleteLOVE this!! Great interpretation of your inspiration piece!
ReplyDeleteGreat card!
ReplyDeleteI do pin for inspiration but sadly, I have not actually made a card based on something I have pinned. You have inspired me to do so though!
Great how you used your inspiration on your card. I like it. I do use my pins as inspiration, I should not pin even more because I collected wayyyyy to much already... but you know how it works. So much more fun things to see and collect!
ReplyDeleteAs much as I love the randomness of Pinterest, I love seeing Boards of people I "know"; just pinned 3 of your pins. I've learned a lot about my 10-year old granddaughter by following her Boards. I use the images mostly for journaling and my One Little Word Project. There is unending inspiration for papercrafting. And it can be the greatest pity party for one, and don't we all need that sometimes :)
ReplyDeleteI do have a pinterest board here: http://www.pinterest.com/stamprsue/
ReplyDeleteI add my cards to it but haven't figured out how to pin from elsewhere. not very computer literate but I keep trying.

I LOVE Pinterest. I do have a Cards board. Susan, you are on it! Pinterest sends a weekly email with suggestions of people to follow according to the boards and things I've pinned...that is where I get my inspiration from...from seeing the cards they've pinned.
ReplyDeleteI do Pinterest and use my pins even! This is outstanding!
ReplyDeleteGood idea to look back at Pinterest and I will do that. I like your card - the dots look like puppy prints! Fun!
ReplyDeleteI like to pin. Sometimes I CASE cards, but mostly I wanted a place just to look at stuff that I find inspiring. It gets the creative juices flowing. Carving out time for cardmaking is often difficult. I need a jump start. It also helps me figure out different products to which I am really attracted. (instead of buying stuff all willy-nilly...)
ReplyDeleteI invented a Pinterest board so I could pin the one thing I was always telling people about. I think I've added one or two things since.... but nope, I'm not really into the whole Pinterest thing. I love your take on the inspiration photo. Great card! It makes me think of wildlife.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely LOVE Pinterest! I almost never search the Pinterest site itself, mostly I use it as a reminder of things I want to be able to find again. From sewing, knitting, crafting tutorials and ideas, to cards, recipes and places I want to go someday. I definitely CASE cards from it, and use for inspiration, as well as have made recipes and done some sewing.
ReplyDeleteI do NOT use my pins. Never go back and look at them again. I could change. Maybe...
