One stamp, stamped three times in two shades of green, adds awesome interest to the blank canvas of a standard white card. If all three trees were the same color, this wouldn't have worked nearly as well. That pop of chartreuse really livens things up, doesn't it? Throw in a little complementary red, and you've got quite a festive Christmas card!
Note there is no embellishment of any kind...just one layer of cardstock with some delightfully placed ink.
Simple, high-impact cards are among my favorite cards to make...and this one fits the bill nicely. What are your favorite cards to make? Which of your creations makes you grin from ear to ear?
Supplies
stamps: A Muse (tree), Hero Arts (sentiment)
ink: Hero Arts green, Ranger Archival vivid chartreuse, red geranium
paper: Papertrey white
accessories: not a blessed one!
Simple high-impact cards are what I aim for but alas it doesn't happen very often!
ReplyDeleteFun and a quick design! Fun.
ReplyDeleteI like your high impact cards. You do them so well. I like simple layers, a nice patterned paper and a matted image on it with an embellishment. Later that embellishment has been a ribbon. Sometimes I want to break out of that style but it comes so easily to me.
ReplyDeleteGreat colors and design!
