I want to thank Mary Dawn of My Pink Mexico for issuing this kraft challenge in the first place because I have certainly stretched my creativity in ways I didn't know it could stretch and have overcome my anxiety about kraft paper in general.
I hope you've enjoyed it and been inspired, too!
Today's card isn't much of a stretch; I think it's got LateBlossom written all over it! Using bold and bright colors always makes me break out the white cardstock, and I adore how this turned out with the kraft strip...definitely clean and simple.
Also, graphic and happy!
*grinning*
Give-Away Reminder: The last day to post comments on Kraft Week posts here and at My Pink Mexico is Saturday night at midnight, Eastern Daylight Savings Time. Everyone may post once on each of the ten posts for a total of ten chances to win the one give-away. What does the winner get? A Big Bite and a $25 gift certificate to Papertrey Ink. So head on over to My Pink Mexico and check out Mary Dawn's adorable owl card!
Edited to Add: Yesterday's card had no green on it, though several people commented that it did. I'm sorry if some people's screens are showing green, but the card kraft, cream, and pink, and it looks right on my screen. Wonder what is going on?!?! Anyone have any ideas?

This is definetley you - and an easy case for the birthday card I need this evening!
ReplyDeleteMight not be a stretch for you, but it's still using the craft you don't normally, in a way that's a little surprising. And I think I remember you not liking bold brights too much --- and the strip of craft CS tones them down beautifully. I'm glad for this CAS card; it's you, with a twist! It's been a wonderful week with you and Pink Mexico collaborating. Thanks for your work, ladies!
ReplyDeleteYes, this is a Susan card....how fun. It's been a great week...thanks.
ReplyDeleteThat is a lovely card, Susan. Quick and easy plus a great way to use up some scraps! Don't we all just have a great big box full of 'em? I know I do... !! x
ReplyDeleteVery cute and very Susan, too! Great week of challenges!
ReplyDeleteGreat card!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for a great week full of inspiration with my fav Kraft :)
great card! So simple but perfect.
ReplyDeleteYummy....like big round pieces of candy! Love it!
ReplyDeleteThis one is fun too - I have some great ideas to use this arrangement. Thanks again.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sad to see kraft week end :(
ReplyDeleteBut this is my favorite card of the week! The colors are yummy - and it would be so fun to switch them out for a different look. Great design!
Spot on Susan! It is amazing how those colors even pop against craft! Ah, love it.
ReplyDeleteThis is the Susan we know and love!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for a great week, loads of really cool kraft inspiration. Thank you. Love today's card; bright, clean, simple, perfect! Thank you. Hev:)
ReplyDeleteWow--very bold and bright card! Very cheery!
ReplyDeleteThis is so eye catching and I love the colors. Wonderful week! Thanks.
ReplyDeleteAll of your cards have been fantastic this week. Today's card is so simple and colorful. Thanks for sharing with us each day!
ReplyDeleteI like this one the best, simple and with a punch.
ReplyDeletePetra
Love today's card...simple, yet colorful...good job. Kraft week has been great! Thanks.
ReplyDeleteYes, this is definately a lateblossom card and I LOVE it!! the colors pop nicely with that strip of kraft behind them! I am keeping this layout in my idea folder!!
ReplyDeleteYesterday's kraft looks a lot like Mellow Moss on my screen too ... but I knew it was kraft because it is kraft week :-)
This card produced an instant smile - so colorful and fun! Thanks for a week full of fun kraft-y goodness!
ReplyDeleteCreative idea, colors, CAS details as usual ~ TFS!
ReplyDelete"The unfailing love of the Lord never ceases, by His mercies we have been kept from complete destruction. Great is His faithfulness; His mercies begin afresh each day." Lamentations 3:22, 23
Need to make a birthday card today & this will be a great one. Love it!
ReplyDeleteYou are brilliant, Susan! I adore this card and will definitely CASE it!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful and striking card!! Definitely you!
ReplyDeleteI saw a green card on my computer yesterday, too. It had me going to my dictionary to look up "kraft" as I thought it was usually a tannish color. Oh, well, it was still a gorgeous card:)
how do you spell perfection?
ReplyDeletei spell it ...LATEBLOSSOM....
this card is magic.
i LOVE it!!
thanks for the inspiration and fun this week. you are the best!
marty
I never think of kraft and brights together, but you've shown it works beautifully.
ReplyDeleteyep, this is definitely you! :) While I enjoyed seeing you stretch for the challenges, I love even more seeing kraft incorporated into your own style. It just feels "right," KWIM? This card is definitely my favorite!
ReplyDeleteWell played, madame, well played.
ReplyDeleteLove the kraft with all the bright colors! :0)
ReplyDeleteI like this! It reminds me of the overhead stage lights used at a theater to light up performers on the stage. Great performance this week, Susan! Encore!
ReplyDeleteYour card makes me smile...so bright, cheerful and simple. Simply put: Darn girl, you're good! Thanks for brightening my day.
ReplyDeleteLove this card! I'm off to make a masculine version right now. Thanks for an inspirational week!
ReplyDeleteThe vintage card was green on my monitor also and even the Christmas card did not look exactly like the brown kraft of today's post--it was more of a light tan. I expect it has something to do with the settings in our software and how many tens of thousands of colors are identified. Superb card today, Susan.
ReplyDeleteThis week has been fun!! Great card again! Now i'm going to step outside my "box" and create things i wouldn't normally create. Thank you
ReplyDeleteLove the colors - great card!
ReplyDeleteThis has been a great week! I've loved all the inspiration you both have provided. I'm so bad at thinking of anything other than white card base. Are you sure you don't want to extend it for another week? ;-) LOL
ReplyDeletewonderfully simple card.
ReplyDeleteThis week has been so much fun! I'm glad I found your blogs when I did (happy face here)! Love this bright card, and yes, it is definitely a 'you' card!
ReplyDeletewhen i began reading i wondered how you would do bright on kraft - great solution and wonderful idea. this has been a really fun week. it's raining here today so it's a card day.
ReplyDeleteHow fun is this? I just love it.
ReplyDeleteYay! Look at all that lovely white! The world is right again! You're an amazing designer!
ReplyDeleteThis week was so fun with this Kraft challenge. I'd say this card is a little bit out of your norm - I think you would have done the circles with out the strip of kraft or any other paper for your norm!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
Wow - the grand finale!!! What a way to go out - good job all week! Thanks for the inspiration. Happy Spring!
ReplyDeleteI agree -- this is a classic LateBlossom card! Thanks for such a fun week.
ReplyDeleteThe vivid dots look wonderful with the kraft and white! You did great this week with the challenge! Gold star for you!
ReplyDeleteAs Sue said above, this is Susan with a twist! Love it. What new neutral are you guys doing next week? BTW, I'm a little slow noticing some things -- your backgrounds always match your card!
ReplyDeleteI just love this card! So CAS with a twist - perfect!
ReplyDeleteLove them circles! Thanks for the inspiration Susan.

Great way to use scraps and we all have them! I'm using my Kraft paper more - thanks to you :)
ReplyDeleteLove the bright colors against the kraft!
ReplyDeleteBold and happy! Love it.
ReplyDeletein response to your edit:
ReplyDeleteAll of the kraft cards--except for today's which is oh so bright and cheery (love your pink background!)--looked green on my screen too. Still fab though!
BTW, thank you for posting as much as you do. You're my morning coffee (tea) break.
Yep - "lateblossom" card! And therefore, awesome!
ReplyDeleteI like it!!! So simple ~ so fun! I'm so glad I discovered your blog!
ReplyDeleteOooh - my favorite of all of your kraft challenge ones. I'm planning my daughter's first birthday and it is polka dot themed. I am working with lots of circles for her invites right now! What a cute thank you card this would make for her party...thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteVery nice. I love the pink with the kraft - I never think to use pink with it. And the touch of the darker Taken With Teal at the end grounds it nicely and keeps it from being too little girly. Thanks for all of the fun kraft cards!
ReplyDeleteI love the clean look. Great card!
ReplyDeleteAwesome. Enough said.
ReplyDeleteSuper cute and fun. I like that you left your circles plain. I would have been tempted to use patterned papers or stamp each one with a texture. But it really is much cleaner with just the bright colors as themselves.
ReplyDeleteLove it, love it, love it.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great week it's been. This is another lovely card that has CAS and CASE written all over it.

Love the punch of color with the kraft!

Love circles and dots....especially with your colors. And your vintage kraft card looked greenish on my monitor also. Congrats on surviving challenge week!! It was fun. (I played along at home!) Susan G.
ReplyDeleteThose dots just pop. Really pretty.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun week. I couldn't wait for my Kraft to arrive from PTI so used the cardboard inserts that come with packaging. #1 card was my favorite and I've used all kinds of household things to make the textures and end up with awesome cards.
ReplyDeleteAbout yesterday's card, it's a soft Celadon on my screen. VERY pretty!
Victorian on Kraft is like a guy wearing white tennis shoes with a Tux, in my book, but you did a great job of it none-the-less.
Thanks so much.
Just read your edit. Yesterday's card on my computer was waaaaaay green! Not just a little, but a LOT green --- I never would have thought it was anything BUT green! Still looked good, but now I wonder what it REALLY looked like IRL!
ReplyDeleteSo simple! So Cute!
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the kraft-y ideas this week--it's been fun!
ReplyDeleteLovely, it's so you! I really enjoyed your kraft week, thanks!!
ReplyDeleteDelicious dots! And deliciously CAS. Great ending to a really fun week. Thanks so much!
ReplyDeleteSuch a bright and cheery color palette! Very inspiring! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteJust love it! Thanks for a fun week!
ReplyDeleteLove this with the pink.. not at all one of my go-to colours but once again, you have inspired me to think outside the box. Very fresh.
ReplyDeleteyep. a totally you card. love it!
ReplyDeleteooh I love this! Thanks so much for all the krafty inspiration... I'm going to miss it!
ReplyDeleteSince I added your blog to my reader, I've stopped commenting. There is probably some way to comment from reader, but I have yet to learn it.
ReplyDeleteWhile all of the cards have been wonderful to see, days 1 and 2 have been my favorites of the week. Maybe I'm in some sort of horizontal mood.
Both yesterday's and Day 2's card had a green cast. It could be the background that was used, but as someone else suggested, it is probably due to our computers. I have a MacBook Pro, so it may read colors differently.
Thanks for taking us on your journey to kraft-land.
simply beautiful! love those colors!
ReplyDeleteYour Kraft cards have been beautiful, I am inspired to dig some out and use it. I love the way you have created a very different feel every day. So clever!
ReplyDeleteOh, this is really nice! Love the bright colors.
ReplyDeleteI check your blog every day for inspiration. These kraft cards are very nice and are giving me plenty of ideas. Thanks much.

ReplyDeleteSuch a happy card that made me smile.
ReplyDeleteAhhhhh you have come back to us Susan :) a lovely bright and cheery card to end the week.
ReplyDeleteIt has been a ball following your kraft journey .... I think you have well and truly overcome your phobia and given us some real gems in the process.
Many thanks to both you and Mary Dawn for a great 5 days of cards (and the opportunity to win some great candy!)
How pretty! I just love this one. It is so upbeat and bright! Thanks so much for sharing this week, they have all been lovely cards and I now want to break out my kraft even more often.

Susan, each of this week's cards has your signature "simplicity" about it, but the Christmas Holly resonates with me the most.
ReplyDeleteCAS is one of my goals for a long time, but it also takes a long time to develop what I really want to create.
Good on ya, for having shared these challenges with us. I like your style.
Yep, you used kraft.
ReplyDeleteYep, this is LateBlossom simple.
Yep, this is gorgeous.
But does it use *enough* Kraft?!
Love it, Susan!
The colors are so happy and look great against the kraft and white background!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely adore the bright colors against the kraft! I have really enjoyed kraft week. Hope to see more 'krafty' creations in the future.
ReplyDeletePerfect Simplicity! Love it! :)
ReplyDeleteI love this card - so "sweet", so simple and yet so classy.
