Finally...a Use for Washi Tape!

Okay, so I saw JulieHRR use washi tape on a card months ago and immediately bought a bunch of it because I have no self-control. Then, I tried making cards with it. The results were not pretty. After making one decent card with it, I put it aside, you know, for later.

Well, later finally came.

Washi tape, it turns out, makes an awesome table cloth. I cut the long piece with a craft knife, then cut two triangles for the corners. And there you have it. A table cloth.

The lamp shade and base were stamped on scraps and cut out. The base is glued directly onto the table and the lampshade popped for dimension.

I no longer regret that impulse purchase, but man is this one expensive card!

Supplies
stamps: Hero Arts (lamp), Papertrey (sentiment)
ink: Ancient Page
paper: PTI white
accessories: washi tape, dimensionals

  8. Yeah, Patti. Julie put a link to a very nice online vendor in her post. I was doomed. Decided not to do the same to you all. It's not a product I'm finding easy to use, LOL!

  10. I get what you're saying about new products and self-control, but what blew me away was that you CUT OUT THAT LAMP BASE! What patience (and really great scissors!) you must have! One of my resolutions last year was to figure out the copic airbrush system I just HAD to have. It's still in its box (at least I assume it is - I have no idea where it is!) LOL! Merry Christmas!

  13. Love the tablecloth! I'm guilty of the same "that's cool, so I must buy the entire collection even though I've never tried any of it before" shopping. You think we'd learn, wouldn't you?

  17. I agree with Ardyth: You cut out that lamp base?
Thank you for encouraging me to buy some things and not to buy others. :-)
