PTI Fruitful Gets a Workout...Even the Pear!

I wanted to make my mother-in-law a set of notecards for Mother's Day, so I pulled out Papertrey's Fruitful set and made a super-simple set using a classic clean-and-simple layout. I varied the images, sentiments (from Everyday Classics), and colors for a set of 10, but I'll only show four because I think you'll get the idea.

Some I rock-and-rolled.

Some I just stamped.

Most have normal fruit.

One does not.

Yep. I used a pear. My mother-in-law was not an English major and therefore is unlikely to have my weird aversion to pear images. In fact, I bet she walks past them in the grocery store without giggling in a helplessly juvenile fashion. I bet she eats them without a single naughty thought entering her head.

And since she doesn't read this blog, we can leave it that way.

OLW Reminder!!!!

Remember to check out OLW51 on Jennifer's blog later today.

I love this card set, especially the peach that you rock and rolled. I need to try this technique. It looks so beautiful.

  7. I will never eat another pear without thinking of you. In fact, I will never eat another pear, period. You have completely ruined pears for me, you naughty girl. BUT, I still love the card!

  13. I wanna' see the other 6! These 4 are so pretty, colorful, and different from regular notecards that I love them. The rock'nrolled peach is so lovely! The sentiments are perfect, both in words and size to the fruit. Your MIL will squeal with pleasure. And if she gets a little twinkle in her eye when she sees the pear, you'll know she follows "Simplicity"!

  17. You crack me up! I never thought I would look at a a pear in an innocent way after reading your first post about them way back when. But I ate a pear yesterday without a naughty thought in my head. That just changed! And the guys working in our basement right next to my doorless office think I am crazy for laughing at my computer! Thanks for the giggle!

  20. While I am so impressed that you managed to make a pear card without laughing too hard to stamp it properlyly ;) my favourite card is that rock-and-rolled peach. Wow! Makes it look so realistic.

  21. Love all these cards, even the {pear}. When I first started stamping, it seemed like every. stinking. image. was a version of a pear, and I bought it. I have purged my stash so I might have only one or two left.

Now I shall giggle uncontrollably when I see these. Thank you! :)
