This card varies the theme of yesterday's cards by adding three squares in graduated shades of ochre (Colorbox chalk inks) to the scored card base. The sentiment is stamped in brown chalk ink. I accented the flowers with little dots of brown Stickles, and it's much blingier in real life. Today's sentiment is from PTI's Mega Mixed Messages.
I'm taking a break with this set now until I feel mentally capable of facing Christmas/winter theme cards for the remaining stamps. Also, I did use the actual sign stamp but decided I just don't like it. So I never have to use it again. Whew. What a relief!

More Squares
It may be obvious to those of you familiar with the set that I'm trying to use ALL the image stamps in PTI's Sign Language set as part of my 2009/2010 Craft Resolution to use all my image stamps. I had already made this one when people started requesting bling. I just love it when you request stuff.

Wonderful. Love how you did the graduated coloring. I must try this layout.
ReplyDeleteThis is just so cute.....makes me want that set even more!!! The colors are so cheerful.
ReplyDeleteLove it! All of your creations are perfect.
ReplyDeleteThis is lovely. I love the graduated color. Love the scoring too. I'm sure the bling looks great in real, but can't really tell from the photo.
ReplyDeleteI have this set too and I love how you've used it.
ReplyDeleteI really like this card. I have this set and have hardly used it. I agree with you about the sign. I tried using it several times and getting everything lined up just right was exhausting. Thanks for the great ideas.
ReplyDeleteBling! I'm so happy! Also love the graduated color!
ReplyDeleteSo glad I discovered your blog...so inspiring!
ReplyDeleteLove this card too - I feel the same way about the sign post - I don't use it either.
ReplyDeleteI love this series of cards. I hope to try this idea this weekend to make some sets of cards as gifts. Thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteWonderful! I love the gradient effect!
ReplyDeletePluperfect again! When I grow up I'm going to learn how to make dots of Stickles all the same size and shape because Susan does it so why do mine all look like a little kid got ahold of Mom's supplies and had fun?
ReplyDeleteI love touches of Cinnamon Stickles on black-stamped pinecones, but oh how I hate when one burp of the Stickles bottle sends out a blob that spoils the whole thing.
Oh wow, you've excelled yourself once more Susan! Gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know there were that many shades of colorbox chalk inks! Beautiful response to the bling challenge. ;)
ReplyDeleteI love the graduated shades!! wowzers!! I am totally inspired!!
ReplyDeleteI love all your "square" cards. Such a great way to use tiny stamps that still give a big impact.
ReplyDeleteI'm loving all these cards with squares!
ReplyDeleteI love those cute little images and the graduated colors! The embossing really enhances them as well!!
ReplyDeleteOoooooo!!! The graduated colour idea rocks! I love it!
ReplyDeleteI am so glad I found your blog!!
ReplyDeleteThanks to you, I am no longer afraid of white space. Well, a little nervous still, but I did make a card similar to yours last night and was pleased with it.
It is rare that I am pleased with something that I make. :)
I am just getting started making cards. Only have a few SU stamp sets, and a handful that I have picked up at an "everything a dollar" type store.
Very pretty card. I love the graduated color. Now I see another PTI set I have to buy! Thanks for enabling!
