This is today's second post...to see cards, keep scrolling!
If you are interested in joining the Word of the Year Project, please visit my other blog, Questioning my Intelligence. I've announced my word for the year and am asking readers to post their words in the comments on that blog.
Now for my crafting resolutions for 2010:
1. Scrapbook. (Yes, that's a verb.)
2. Continue plugging away at 2009's resolution to use all my image stamps.
3. Use more variety from my stash, especially tools and techniques that have languished lately. It was so refreshing to pull out the watercolor crayons last week!
4. Have FUN!
What are your crafting resolutions? Please post those in the comments here!
Crating resolution- a card a week, a recipe card a week, and a scrapbook page a week. I can do it!
ReplyDelete2 Resolutions: Get the cards made well ahead of time so there is no last minute "this'll do" card making. And, two, post more on my blog than I did last year!
ReplyDeleteI resolve to just get over myself and my perfectionistic tendencies and just SCRAPBOOK. I bought Becky Higgins Project Life scrapbook kit, and it's designed to just get the photos in, journal, and move on. Typically, I agonize over layout, which is what drew me to the smaller "canvas" of cards. However, scrapbooking is where my paper crafting frenzy began.
ReplyDeleteWell, I'm being careful about this. I'm well-known for beginning something and not finishing it. So, with that in mind, yesterday I decided to either use or sell the rest of my neglected stamps. The ones I decide to use I'm going to use one set at a time with no promise of a "once a week" or "once a month". When I have time is what I'm saying.
ReplyDeleteI swore I wouldn't make any resolutions for 2010 but crafting resolutions? That's a different story. I resolve to use what I buy instead of buy it and just oogle at it. And I resolve to build up my stash of cards to send out -- it's really embarrassing to be known as the card maker in the family and not send cards!
ReplyDeleteMy resolutions include donating more of my cards to worthy causes and paring down my existing collection of crafty stuff so I can use it more efficiently.
ReplyDeleteMine is, one Christmas card a week. That way I'm not freaking out come December!
ReplyDelete#1 - Use what I have
ReplyDelete#2- Make my gifts this year
#3 - Do those techniques that I've been wanting to do and revive some older ones not used in awhile
#4 - Actually try CAS cards this year
oh, can't wait to see what you do with scrapbooking!! and using tools and techniques.....hurry hurry, I want to see!! As I indicated on my blog, my plans are to use what I have (instead of buying -- that outta be tricky) and play along in some more challenges to stretch my creativity!! Can't wait to see what you have in store Susan!!
ReplyDeleteMy crafting goal (the word resoluiton is so guilt-laden...) ;) is to experiment more, and if it doesn't work? Oh well, it's just paper, ink and a little time!
ReplyDeleteMy stamping resolution is to do something small in my crafting room every day, instead of waiting "until I have time." Whether it's putting things away after my last card, setting up for the next card, organizing my space better or whatever, I will be in my card room for at least a few minutes, every single day!
ReplyDeleteI resolve to do art just because and not because there's a swap deadline looming.
ReplyDeletemy resolutions....make more cards, venture outside my comfort zone, try new techniques, buy more stamps...[ooops...I already do that!], have more fun than I am already having.
ReplyDeleteMy crafting resolutions are to use up my scraps, not to make so many scraps, figure out how to incorporate patterned paper into my cards and use some older stamps that I've been neglecting! Just thinking about the first three resolutions causes me anxiety! This is going to be hard!
ReplyDeleteI want to start using my my stash of items bought and forgotten. Also to really look at sets I have and should get rid of. Then for those I really like start using at least once this year and next and next -- yeah, I have way too many stamps which is why I need to get rid of some .
ReplyDeleteLove your blog and find you inspiring with your ideas as well as your Simplicity at Stamping.
Deb
1. Finish all the Christmas cards I got half done in December.
ReplyDelete2. Do 100 Cards For Troops .
3. Become an Ebay Seller so I can sell the stamps I have to buy the stamps I want ("need" :-).
My resolve is to finish each of those before starting the next and hope I get to #3 by June because I have soooooooooo many Christmas stamps I need to sell.
My "resolutions" are creating mostly for fun, and not so much for team requirements. I would like to pull out and use the many stamps I've purchased, and haven't been able to use yet.
ReplyDeleteMy resolution is to vary my use if color...and to spend a bit less money on premade embellishments and try to make my own
