The primary inspiration for my red tree card HERE was actually a brown paper bag from Starbuck's with a red-and-white winter scene. The bag held a piece of banana bread that begged me to eat it. Of course, I always flex to white card bases, but every now and then, I have to use kraft, and that brown paper bag made me do it.
Nothing is ever my fault, you see.
Going to bed for a good night's sleep and hoping to get some stamping done this weekend. I hope y'all do, too!
Loooove kraft and this colour combo is fabulous. Great card!
ReplyDeleteIt all works perfectly with the kraft base, totally justifies a trip to Starbucks!
ReplyDeleteI like this card and you made me smile with your story of how it came to be. You find inspiration in an amazing way.
ReplyDeleteI love kraft, and it looks fabulous with this simple design in red and white. You find inspiration in such great places. :) Ann Y.
ReplyDeleteOH MY WORD. This is AMAZING!!! Gorgeous--that kraft, red, and white are perfect! :)
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous - you can't go wrong with white, red and kraft! Love that tree!
ReplyDeleteThis is one of my favorite color combos, so was thrilled to see it. Too bad that shadow stamp is discontinued. It's a perfect touch. The red tree on today's and yesterday's cards are a welcome surprise. You do, per usual, have a surprise or 2 for us.
ReplyDeleteI'm a huge fan of Kraft. Wonderful card. Perfect design.
ReplyDeleteYou should do this more often - gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteLOVE this! Susan, This is the ultimate in CAS as well as elegant too!
ReplyDeleteThis looks wonderful! It's easy to see why you might have been inspired by the Starbuck's bag. I had one pinned to my cork board in my craft room until I finally made a card inspired by it!
ReplyDeleteThis is so perfectly perfect. Just love it.
ReplyDeleteAnother fabulous card! Interesting how making cards makes us look at (and even notice in the first place) things in our surroundings differently!
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful. It brings out the white as a "color" with 3 white elements (happy, ground, and snow-pearls). And a triangle of 3 within that (3 pearls). But leaving the math aside, it's just really nice to look at!

ReplyDeleteIf it's not too much trouble, could you possibly post the stamp sets you use? I recognize the words from Papertrey's Wreath for all Seasons, but I'd love to know about the rest of the stamps. LOVE this card! TFS!
ReplyDeleteLove this card. Stamping red and white on kraft is one of my favorite combos.
ReplyDeleteShadow is Hero Arts (discontinued) and the tree is A Muse (discontinued). And you're right about the sentiment...PTI Wreath for All Seasons.
ReplyDeleteStarbucks inspired me too!! :)
ReplyDeleteI love the pistachio and toffee crunch from the new tsunineko colors.
ReplyDeleteCongrads for the publishment
i know you said the shadow was a stamp by hero arts. but what was the name of the stamp? or the stamp set it was in?
