Miss You
This incredibly simple card has lots more white space than even I usually use, but the theme...missing you...seemed to call for emptiness. Doesn't that tree look so lonely? I thought about cutting the vanilla panel down more and leaving a bigger sage border, but then it just wouldn't look so lonely.
Supplies: SU Trendy Trees, PTI sentiment; sage shadow, vanilla SU cardstock; versamagic chalk inks; scor-pal; dimensional.

ReplyDeleteThis is PERFECT, Susan! I agree, the white space fits with the sentiment.
ReplyDeleteOh My .... I think my heart skipped a beat when I saw this. It is just sooooooooooo beautiful in its simplicity.
ReplyDeleteYour talent knows no bounds .....
So true, that is a lonely little tree (but pretty all the same)
ReplyDeleteI think you should leave it like it is.....I love the simplicity of it just there on it's own. Makes the sentiment more relevent....
ReplyDeleteYour little tree is perfect - lonely, but perfect! TFS.
ReplyDeletehey,.....when did THIS blog start???? and why was I not informed that you had started a blog????? Wow, squeeeeeal, I am so excited!!!
ReplyDeleteOh, and I totally agree...that tree does look like it is missing someone!! Brilliant!!

ReplyDeleteHope your vacation was perfect and welcome home.
I'm a new fan, having been led to you by Heather Telford. Wow! I love your work. Your style is one I admire greatly but have a difficult time with, myself. I partcularly love this card. It's the very diminutiveness of the tree in all that white space that strengthens the message.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great blog with such beautifully simple cards. I hope you don't mind, but I would like to follow your blog :o)

ReplyDeleteWhen we miss someone, we feel small, and this conveys that perfectly but in a sweet way, not a sad way.
