I changed the color scheme to a monochromatic blue to create better color balance. The glitter is Stickles Frosted Lace, used on the two hat pom-poms, the star, and the scallops. I popped the star, since it's on white now and I thought it needed to be popped to have more presence.
Verdict:
The blue version is more balanced and harmonious.

I agree, I like the blue one more. Although the green & red is very cute...think I'd like it better with a red star maybe.
ReplyDeleteThey are both adorable. When I saw the first card I thought it was great, but read what you said about the yellow and realized that you were right. I wonder if you could add a bit of yellow to the scarf or hat of the snowmen.....anyway, both are adorable!
ReplyDeleteThese are so cute. What a fun idea to use the scalloped border upside down for a snowbank. Even though there are more details on the blue card, my fave is the first one because I like the bright colors.
ReplyDeleteI like them both but the blue one is my favourite. The added texture on the scallops lifts it and I like the little shadow thrown by the star.

As a fellow OCD "person" I agree that the blue one is better.
ReplyDeleteI also agree with everyone above...the one yellow item seems to be the problem. I have had the "rule of 3's" drilled into me over and over, even though I break it sometimes...well lots of times! Red star or yellow scarf...hmm.

The blue does it for me BUT if you changed the yellow star to white and added the stickles same as the blue card it would be just as perfect.
