Summer

Here's a card I tried to make for the flourish One-Layer Wednesday challenge but had to layer up because I stamped crooked. See. There are no mistakes, just opportunities for embellishment.

Supplies
stamps: Hero Arts (all discontinued)
ink: Memento
paper: PTI white
accessories: label punch, dimensionals

Still gorgeous, mistakes or not. The best things (mostly) happen by accident.

love the color combo...feels like I'm out in an open field arms outstretched, feeling the wind blowing on a summer's day...brings back special memories with my sisters
thanks

Yes, I love a happy accident! I have trained all my customers to see the opportunities in their alleged "mistakes". :)

Fun card - I love orange and turquoise together, and the label punch fits the "fixed" sentiment perfectly!

I know all about those kinds of opportunities! I have many of them. :0) Great card.

Great card! Love the white on white using a different shape to make it stand out.

Ah, our summer is looming ahead of us! Just 2 more school days for my son and 3 more days of work for me .. and then we are free!! Love the "summer" colors you chose!! Great way to fix an oops. I too have a few cards created from initial attempts of the OLW cards. :-)

I like blue and orange together. I also like the popped up sentiment tag.

I'd say it all worked out perfectly! I love the sentiment popped up....and to think...you wouldn't have this lovely card - without the mistake!

I love it...now off to "repair" some of MY mistakes!! LOL!

Now you know why my cards normally have SO many embellishments!!! lol! Great card, Susan - love the sentiment!

Beautiful! I really like the sentiment popped up like that, even if it is to hide a mistake. I hope no one ever decides to disassemble one of my cards - they might be surprised at what they would find under the embellishments!

I have a basket of "mistakes" that comes out once in a while to be transformed! This "mistake" is possibly better than if it _had_ been a one-layer!

LOL.........I measure my progress as a Stamper by the number of Oops on each card.

If all inks really worked all of the time, and all polymer stamps were easy to place on the blocks straight, and all red rubber stamps were mounted on their wood blocks straight.........Oh Lordy Heaven is going to have to be some kind of place, to meet my requirements for no tears, four-letter-words or frustrations.

Great job... I love the raised sentiment too. I'm going to get cracking on some white on white... you seem to nail it every time.

Yep -- no mistakes, only opportunities. Some of my favorite cards have come about because I did something imperfectly on my original try. Love this one -- and the sentiment popped up looks fabulous. Still an easy-to-mail card.
