Colored Card Base

I found a stash of pre-cut colored card bases in my stash and decided to use them. This is a certainly celery base with wasabi mat. The pearls totally make this card for me.

I completely ruined several colored bases with egregious ugliness before coming up with this, proving that I'm really more of a one-layer gal. But this one isn't a complete waste of card stock! *wink*

Don't forget to check Jennifer's blog late on Wednesday for this week's OLW. I'm so looking forward to getting back to one layer!!!

Supplies
stamps: Hero Arts (all discontinued)
ink: Versacolor green tea
paper: SU celery, wasabi; PTI white
accessories: corner chomper, half pearls, dimensionals

  6. I love everything about this card except that the stamps are discontinued - very annoying. But beautiful to look at.

  9. Love the greens! It's so funny - I'm the exact opposite - I make a one layer card and then I HAVE to cut it and layer it on a coloured base so that it has a frame. This one is perfect and exactly my style!

  14. Love this card! The green combinations go together so well, and that HA stamp is lovely. It always surprises me how just trimming half of the corners streamlines a card so much. Thanks for using colored CS --- I think we all have too much of it and are glad for the ideas!

  16. I agree - the pearls make the card! We are all so different - I find one layer cards such a challenge (though I keep on trying!). It would be so much easier for me to create a card like the one you posted today than to create your one layer perfection!
