Happy Valentine's Day

Instead of the stamping marathon I had planned for the day before Valentine's Day, I had to unload the closet of my craft room because the carpet was sopping wet, as was the floor in the neighboring bathroom. The builder stopped by, cut a bunch of holes in my dry wall, and eventually determined that the leak could only be in the wax seal under the toilet.

Which means the holes in my dry wall were not, strictly speaking, necessary. But no matter. It will all get put back, good as new.

Eventually.

In the meantime, my craft organization looks like this:

I made this anyway. It's crazy layout reflects my crazy life. A bit random but full of love.

Happy Valentine's Day. I heart you all!!!

Supplies
stamps: SU (discontinued) and Papertrey
ink: Memento
paper: Gina K
accessories: corner chomper

  7. I know how you feel Susan! we had a thaw last night (lots of pipes frozen for 5 days) and now our garage and utility room are full of water... main stop valve gone... no damage to hubby's computer servers, phones, etc 2 feet away as we covered the electrical stuffstack with an old shower curtain yesterday! so no real damage done. Hope you are dried out soon :-)
Oh and I love the hearts card :-)

  11. Love all those hearts. Great card! Back atcha, sweet Susan! :) I know all too well the wet carpet in the basement of a new house saga. Ours occurred when the melt off of an early 4' snow storm ensued. We'd been in our house four months and a "grading" problem caused the leaking. The water, however, did not flood, it poured! No kidding and what a mess. Glad to report that the builder corrected the problem, replaced the wall, the baseboard, and cleaned and re-layed the carpet ... eventually! Heehee! No, seriously, it was done in less than two weeks. Good luck! :)

  15. Susan -- there are days I curse this 100 year old house and wish we'd bought new. That is, obviously, no guarantee . . . good luck getting it sorted out.

    Lovely card, as always!

  19. Just when I was hoping we'd soon see photos of your new craft room, you had to "unorganize" (is that a word?) it!! Sorry you had that hassle! The card is beautiful - I love the mix of colours.

  20. So sorry to hear about your leak. You certainly sound calmer than I would be since it's a new house. What a bummer. But, your card is beautiful! Here it is Valentine's Day and I haven't made a card for my wonderful husband yet. Can we all say "procrastinate"? LOL!! I was going to do it yesterday, but he took me out for most of the day so now I'm feeling terrible. I hope I've learned my lesson about procrastinating but I don't think procrastinators ever learn that lesson, do they?

  21. Thankfully the leak wasn't in a bathroom overhead. That happened to us. New house...girls' bathroom shower...why is our ceiling in our bedroom sagging and what is that dripping sound????

  25. Craft room cut outs = not so fun! Crazy layout = lots of fun! I recognize some of those stamps and actually used the paisley heart on my daughter's daycare Valentines for today.
