Today's card looks strangely abstract to me, but I like it anyway! The colors really appeal to me, and the layout is, well..., let's call it interesting. That's better than weird, bizarre, or nuttier than squirrel poo.
We're gearing up for Jonah's birthday in April (the 12th), so if you would like to send him a birthday card, drop one in the mail to this address:
Jonah
c/o Susan Raihala

I hope all his chemo treatments will be finished by that date (with no further complications), and also that he gets the dog he wants!
Blessings to all who have sent Jonah cards in the past. What a great way to use our hobby!
Supplies
stamps: Mama Elephant Trifecta, Gina K sentiment
ink: assorted Hero Arts, Memento black
paper: Papertrey
accessories: rhinestones, dimensionals
I just want to thank you for all the posts on layout and design! I was rubbish at CAS until I started reading your blog! I love CAS but could never get it right! After I started reading about 'trapped white space', 'triangles', etc. I found that I could magically manage CAS! I appreciate all the free lessons you post for us CAS-impaired people ;)
ReplyDeleteThe design is interesting, Susan, one I would never have come up with. I like how you placed the triangles together on the right. It's amazing to me how the single triangle on the left combined with the sentiment balances the design. Of course the bling is perfect. I am always in awe of your design talent.
ReplyDeletewhen is Jonah birthday and how old ? how do we gwt a card to him ???
ReplyDeleteApril 12th, and he'll be five! If you mail it to the address above, I'll take it to his home. His mom didn't want me putting their address online, and they live close to me.
DeleteLovely card, and I agree that your ability to design is amazing, and nuttier than squirrel poo is really funny!!
ReplyDeleteI love that saying...first read it in JK Rowling's Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Have enjoyed using it ever since!
