So Simple It Should Be a Crime!

I adore these border stamps from Hero Arts but often struggle with using them. When I was working on Christmas notecard sets for teachers, I pulled out these two and experimented.

It oughta be illegal to stamp something so simply and yet have it turn out so very, very perfectly.

I'm saving this set for end-of-year gifts since it just feels too spring-y for Christmas. But if you have any border stamps similar to this that are holiday-themed, I think you should go right ahead and give these simple gift sets to everyone you know. Yes, it might feel criminally easy, but you know what? Sweat doesn't make a gift more special. Sweat is icky.

But SIMPLICITY ROCKS!

Supplies
stamps: Hero Arts
paper: PTI white (single-panel cards)
ink: SU bold brights
accessories: nada

  4. Ah, these are JUST the answer I needed, since I'm newly failed at making the template for the Border Card sets you taught us last month.

    Thanks a bunch, Susan.

By the way, when you find a punch that makes a perfect square,( Holly box) I hope you'll tell us the brand. I got the largest SU one a couple of months ago and have not been able to punch out the perfect square yet. I think the weight and texture of the cardstock matters more than I thought, and I just haven't hit on the right combo yet.

  5. Oh my gosh. Forget about 10 minute cards you could market these as 10 second cards. But they look so fabulous. Nice, very quick, gift idea.

  9. These are beautiful, but simple enough that I would actually use them. If I have something too difficult to reproduce, I never want to use it, because then it's gone. But these one could make and give and use over and over. Perfect!

PS. Now I see the word verification is "foolo"--should I be insulted? :)
