Happy Thanksgiving, Canada!!!!

I hope all my blogland friends in Canada are enjoying the three-day weekend and eating to their hearts' content!

  1. Thank you. It is always a great weekend when you see family!

  2. Thanks, Susan! I'm skipping the bird today - we will be celebrating a big Birthday next week-end with family and will have it then; today I am grateful for a gloriously warm 3 day week-end!

  3. Thank you Susan. Just one of the things I have to be thankful for is having wonderful Blogs like yours to follow and give me inspiration.

  4. Thanks for remembering us up here in the deep, dark North, on the snow encrusted tundra as we live in igloos and use dog sleds to get around LOL! Had a feast last night and today get to eat some wonderful left overs and make some turkey soup - yummm :) Have a great "all day date" :)

  5. I love seeing book pages used as backgrounds on cards, but I've never done it. My hangup has always been that whatever it is "saying" on the book page would have to go with whatever else I put on the card! I guess it's a crazy hangup, but I can't see putting flowers and butterflies on a card with a background from a medical book or the like. I could never just tear a page out of any old book and use it for a card background! LOL!!

  6. thanks sure was a great meal and we will enjoy the leftovers much for the diet eh??

  7. Thank you, Susan! Beautiful weather, good food, lots of family, crafting time... a good weekend for sure.

  8. Your card and cancer project are so timely. I just found out last week that one of my former Girl Scouts has breast cancer. She's 29 years old. The same age as my daughter. People used to think she was MY daughter because we shared red curly hair.

She was recently the focus of an article in our local paper. Here:

I want to do something. I need to do something. I have been struggling for more than a week for the words to contact her and say, I care. Can it be as simple as saying, I'm thinking of you? I do; every day, think of her.

I love how she fights cancer and takes the time to reach out to others with cancer. I love how she blogs about her personal experience with the wicked beast that is cancer.

I think I need to take some of these words and put them onto paper for her. Thank you Susan.

Thank you so much for taking time to comment!
