I just received an email from Memory Box.
The title of the email is "New Video - Painted Pears!"
Oh. My. I'm helpless.
First, let me say that Dave Brethauer is my hero, and not just because his company turned one of my ideas into a penguin stamp. He's amazingly talented, and I own one of his books which is completely fabulous.
The new video is a bit long, and I didn't make it much past Dave's awesome line "We're going to be doing pears today" for the obvious reason that my mind is in the English-major gutter. But the technique he's demonstrating is beautiful anyway, despite the pears, so if you've never painted with Twinkling H2Os on a solid block stamp, I'm sure it's worth watching.
Just please don't do pears.
Or if you do, please don't tell me about it.
You really should keep that sort of thing to yourself.
BTW, if you're new to Simplicity and haven't been corrupted by my feelings about pears, please read this post.

I did stumble across a card the other day that had a lovely pair of pears and thought of you. Strange.

When I got the email my first thought was "Sure hope Susan doesn't see this".

Okay! We are all on the same page here... Like many of you, including, of course, Susan, (enough commas in there S?) my first thought on getting Dave's mail was Susan! Your story will be on everyone's minds til the end of time, ha-ha. I was ROTFL. I, too, know Dave and have so many of his stamps and a couple of books. He is one of my favorite people - beyond his talent - he is just an amazingly nice fella. And he does pears.
