Floral Frenzy Revisited

After playing around with A Muse's Marvelous Marigolds, I pulled out Papertrey's Floral Frenzy, an older set that is lots of fun. Here's the first card I made with it.

I just love the white layers and the soft browny-greens (VersaColor inks, split pea, bamboo). Sadly, I have no clever explanation for the three layers of white.

It just felt right.

Skip on over to Heather's Blog for this week's One-Layer Wednesday Challenge: Feminine Birthday Card. FUN!

Supplies
stamps: Papertrey Floral Frenzy

  1. That's a good explanation for why. It's better than my father telling us 'because ice cream has no bones'. We always ran off to ask our mother what it meant. Smart man! ;-)

  2. The layers of white are fantastic no matter why you used them, Susan. Your card is beautiful; I really love the flowers.

  5. Beautiful. White on white with simple and elegant flowers. The three layers of white just seem to be "right" for this card. Really lovely. Bev

  7. What a beautiful card to send in sympathy, or just as a thinking of you card to brighten someone's day. We don't always need explanations for our decisions. If it felt right when you did it, then it's right. I think the added layers made the image and sentiment take center stage, almost as if they were being thrust forward into the spotlight. I'm over-thinking this, aren't I? ;-)
