Lovin' the Hero Arts set Year Round Sentiments, one of Hero's Operation Write Home sets. I used blue for this because I had blue star rhinestones, but any color would be fun. Except maybe puce.
Of course, there may be nothing wrong with puce except the name. Pewss. Urgh. Think about it. If they called no-bake cheesecake something else, maybe Cream Cheese Delight, it would taste good. But to call it cheesecake is wrong. Just wrong.
What color is puce, anyway?
Supplies
stamps: Year Round Sentiments (Hero Arts)
ink: VersaColor assorted blues
paper: Papertrey Ink
accessories: star rhinestones
I haven't a clue what color puce is either, mostly because it pains me to even type it or even look at the word in order to look it up. I only typed this sentence with the word in it because I like you and you asked. It would have been rude not to reply. ;-)
ReplyDeleteI think it's a bruise purple color. Makes sense doesn't it? It is a yucky word.
ReplyDeleteGreat card. Love stars.
ReplyDeleteI remember looking up the definition of puce when I was at university and the first definition I found was "flea coloured" which of course begged the question : "what colour are fleas?". I've since discovered that puce (and presumably fleas if you looked at them under a microscope) is a dark reddish greyish purple!
ReplyDeleteI am so glad you did your card in blue, not puce! The blue star rhinestones are perfect mixed in with the stamped stars.
I'm not 100% what puce is, I thought it was pinkish/grey, but if it was a fun color, we would probably know all about it, right? Just say "No" to puce!
ReplyDeleteCouldn't agree more about the cheesecake. Pretty much anything with cream cheese in it is delightful, but true cheesecake is definitely baked!
Puce is just ugly. Sorry to any puce fans out there, but it's truly ugly. Your card, however, is lovely! Fun, star filled and wonderfully CAS. Really like it! When I graduated from college, instead of presents, everyone brought cheesecake to share...like 60+ of them. All of them were baked! And delicious! Bev
ReplyDeletePuce ... yucky colour and a very yucky sounding word ... just horrid. Never used it, haven't even got it. Fabulous card ... love all the blue hues! Anita :)
ReplyDeleteFabulous card, Susan :)
ReplyDeletePuce is a pasty pink colour - lol!

Great card! I'm glad you went with blue.
ReplyDeleteAccording to wikipedia, puce is not just one colour. The colour of puce depends on where you live. This is a very interesting article. So, do you dislike all the colours of puce? LOL
