A Butterfly on the Edge

Y'all know I don't do fancy cutting. It's too hard. My fingers hurt. I might cut myself. Mars is in ascension. Life's too short....

But every now and then, a project is so simple that a little careful knife work with an exact-o doesn't bother me.

A close-up, angled picture.

This sort of cut--smooth, not too big, no notches or weirdness--is easy to do with a craft knife and quilting ruler. And it adds interest to an otherwise very simple card.

So YAY!!!!

By the way, is Mars in ascension? What does that even mean?

Never mind. It's not important.

Supplies

  2. Fussy cutting is so relaxing, you really should try it. Your cards are great though and maybe you should invest in a Silhouette Cameo, and let it cut for you!

  4. I do not know what Mars is in ascension means :) So you are afraid that you will cut your fingers with scissors but use a straight edge blade with no guard and if you blink or sneeze you have just sliced your whole finger off?!! Just saying :) Love your card - even if your are using a dangerous (craft) knife.

    1. LOL!!! I've hurt myself much more often with scissors than with my craft knife.
