Resistance Is Futile...and Pretty

If you don't have PTI's Through the Trees yet, resistance is futile. And once you have it, resistance is fun...not to mention, pretty.

The birch trees were stamped in VersaMark ink (first time I used it in a year, actually!) and embossed with clear embossing powder. Then, I masked the edges of the image with post-its, sponged on bashful blue ink, and wiped the excess off the embossing with a tissue. I stamped the sentiment and birds in Palette Noir.

See. Resistance is both futile and pretty!

Supplies
stamps: PTI Through the Trees
paper: PTI white
ink: VersaMark, Palette noir, SU bashful blue
accessories: clear embossing powder

  2. Omygosh, Susan, this is just beautiful. I'm not going to be able to resist this set at all. Thank you so much for doing all the groundwork to show us the beauty you can create with it. What a gorgeous card! And it goes with today's weather --- we got 3" of snow in Charleston last night!

  7. This is one of my favorites of anything you've done. Simply stunning! And what do you think will be in my shopping cart at 12:05a.m. Monday morning along with those teeny paint cans, stamp sets and who knows what else? Enabler! :0)

  8. This stamp is pushing me over the edge into spending $24, now that you've made it sooooooo stunning for its calming effect.

By the way, when you've used a stamp most of us don't have, check out Ebay and watch us bid on that stamp. It's a riot how committed we are to paying just about whatever it takes to try our luck at being "just like Susan when I grow up"........if ONLY all it would take is the right stamp! :-)

  15. So beautiful! Love the light blue, black, and white. The placement and orientation of the birds (apart, but facing each other) fits the sentiment perfectly.
