Through the Trees in One Layer

For once, I suspect that I blinged where I ought not to have blinged at all. But I still like this clean, one-layer card.

And the sentiment is utterly wonderful, don't you think?

Supplies
stamps: Through the Trees (PTI)
paper: PTI white
ink: versamagic
accessories: rhinestones (Hero ARts), Scor-Pal

  1. I'm not bothered by the bling at all.

  4. I like the bling. It's understated and gives just a little something something to that side of the card. I, too, love how you grounded the tree with the embossed lines - perfect! Now I really want that stamp set!!!

  9. Bling or no bling this is still a fine example of your understatement. Following your blog (I'm a relative newbie) is helping me to question/tidy up my own style and that's a very good thing!

  10. Actually, more than I've just written, your posts make me want to get to my craft table and try my own simpler style and that is an excellent change of direction!

  13. I think the bling is just fine. And I propose that the past tense of bling should be blang. As in: bling/blang/have blung. Ha!

  14. Angela, ROTFL! I bungled and blang when I shouldn't have blung.

  15. I think the little bit of bling balances the card. If there's such a thing as "too much white", it might happen without that balance. Great card design.

  20. This set is so cool. I love what you've done here with a fabulous one layer card. And the score lines are so perfect. I'm bookmarking this card for my "someday" tree set!

  21. Perfect simplicity. I like the two rows of scoring. We must be on the same wavelenght because just yesterday I made two cards with the smaller trees from this set and on both I used double score lines to accent the image.

I like the rhinestone accents. I think it helps to balance the large tree.
