Christmas in July

I'm so far behind on Christmas cards and simply must get my act together!

Tonight's card uses an old, old, old PSX chickadee stamp and an old, old, old PSX snowflake background stamp. Of course, these are keeper stamps, so don't be emailing me asking if I'm selling them. Not. Going. To. Happen.

Here's a really simple treatment for a complex focal point image. Stamp the focal point in black, the background in gray, and add a few spots of color to match the theme...in this case pine green bling (colored with Bic/Sharpie markers). This is simple, easy to reproduce, and lets the beautiful image shine!

I hope you all had a lovely weekend and ohmygoshhowdiditgettobeJulyalready!?!?!?

Blessings of the season to you!

Supplies
stamps: PSX
ink: VersaColor
paper: Papertrey white
accessories: rhinestones, Bic/Sharpies, dimensionals

  1. Love the B/G & W colour scheme. I think I'll try this soon with some of my Christmas stamps. ;-)

  2. Oh, how I wish it were Christmas. I haven't even started my cards (this would be a good one to CASE), but we are in the midst of a heatwave, as is much of the country. I MUCH prefer autumn & winter. It can't get here soon enough for me. I'm not sure if pulling out the Christmas supplies would make me feel hotter or colder. It doesn't much matter; the heat zaps all energy from me. I use times like this to catch up on reading. I hope you're staying cool.

  5. A perfect CAS card - I love it and if it wasn't boiling hot upstairs in my craft room (my second floor is way hotter than my ground floor - love my old poorly insulated house except for during a heat wave!!), I'd go up and CASE it now.

  6. Oh yes it's July, and that means we're gearing up for Christmas, or we should be if we were super organized. Susan, this is such a sweet card and so easily reproduced. Yeah!

  7. This is a really pretty card. I love the little bird. How do you decide how many jems to add to a card? That is, 2 rather than 3?
