It's the Fourth of July here in the United States, so of course I'm posting a Christmas card.
I'm whimsical that way.
This stamp is old, old, old and huge, huge, huge. The card is oversized, roughly 5" x 7". The sentiment is from PTI, as are the button and twine and paper.
Happy Fourth of July!
Supplies
stamps: unknown, PTI sentiment
ink: SU white craft ink, close to cocoa classic ink
paper: PTI
accessories: white embossing powder, button, twine, dimensionals
Christmas Card thinking in July is just right. Otherwise it sneaks up on you and then the whole point is to hit on a simple design and get done with it QUICKLY! Work and no fun.
ReplyDeleteI love this card for its simplicity, of course. Almost all my cards, except for Challenge cards, are 5X7 because my husband thinks anything smaller looks skimpy and like I think the recipient isn't worth more. Ah the little quirks that rule our lives!
Happy 4th!
Now is the perfect time to make Christmas cards! Yours is so elegant.
ReplyDeleteYou used kraft! And, you used it beautifully. Happy 4th to you and your family.
ReplyDeletePretty card! Embossing really 'steps' this up a notch.
ReplyDeleteReally cool card! I could use some of that cool snow, as it's going to be hot and humid here today, about 95.
ReplyDeleteAs usual, you have used the Kraft cardstock to perfection, Susan!
Whimsical indeed. Great card! I really need to get on the Christmas-card-making bandwagon, or I will suffer in December!
ReplyDeleteHappy 4th! I'm staying inside -- it's HOT in MI today!
Beautiful Susan! LOVE the white on kraft!! Have a Great 4th! Hugs...Cookie :D
ReplyDeleteYour image looks terrific embossed in white on the kraft card base. I also like your thin, white mat.
ReplyDeleteBeing in the middle of winter, I can appreciate your card- it's a nice treat from all these lovely summery images everyone else is playing with.
ReplyDeleteFeeling the "cool" of the card here on this stifling day in Florida!
ReplyDeleteHappy Fourth of July!! Celebrate!

ReplyDeleteWhite on Kraft is quite unusual for a Christmas card but it looks fresh and delicate.
