Sorry for the late time of this posting! Circumstances beyond my control and such. I'm sure you understand. Thanks for your patience!
This week's OLW is to make a birthday card with LOTS of bling. Your bling may be rhinestones or glitter or other shiny things!
Here's my card, which uses a discontinued Hero Arts shadow stamp. Hero seriously needs to bring this set back in clear. Seriously! Are you listening, Hero? PEOPLE WILL BUY IT!!!!
OLW96 Rules
1. A one-layer card is defined as a single layer of card stock folded in half. No other layers of card stock allowed.
2. Make a blinged-out birthday card. Bling may be glitter, rhinestones, or other shiny things.
3. Post your card online somewhere and link back to it using the InLinkz tool on the sidebar of Simplicity. If posting to your blog, please link to your OLW blog post, not just the main page of your blog.
4. HAVE FUN BLINGING!!!!!
Supplies
stamps: Hero Arts (shadow), Papertrey (sentiment Birthday Basics)
paper: PTI white
ink: Memento
accessories: rhinestones
Fabulous card!!! This is so much fun--thanks, Susan! :)
ReplyDeleteFun card, Susan! The colors and bling are delightful.
ReplyDeleteI like the clean, colorful lines of this card, and of course, the bling. I'm wondering....is your shadow stamp this wedge? I've never seen that before, even knowing that it's been discontinued. I have 8 or 9 HA discontinued shadow stamps, and all are variations of squares/rectangles. Never seen this wedge before! Yes, I think some company needs to bring out a whole set of shadow stamps in all different shapes --- small and large oval, a sloping ground stamp, in particular. This is a great card, different and creative.
ReplyDeleteWonderful color combination and design Susan.
ReplyDeleteWonderful card! OK, I admit it, I bought this discontinued stamp set at an LSS Trash or Treasure sale right after you used one of the stamps on a card several months back and I haven't used it yet. At least I think this a stamp from the same set. I must get it out and play around. I love the colors on your card.
ReplyDeleteThanks for getting this discontinued HA stamp out to play, Susan! Love it with the blings! I find these simple shaped stamps are so fun and versatile. They should never have been "retired" really! I am sure you would agree :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for standing in for Jennifer, Susan. It was a fun challenge!!
