Oh. My. Gosh.
I have no idea where this came from. Last week, I just sat down and made it. Don't you love the way the border punch echoes the pointy poinsettias on top? Yeah, I did that on purpose.
It makes me happy. Oh. So. Happy.
I hope it makes you happy, too.
Supplies
stamps: Peaceful Poinsettia, Take a Bough
ink: real red, Palette noir
paper: real red, PTI white
accessories: ribbon, button, floss, dimensionals, lattice border punch
Ooh, I LOVE this! Red and white is my favorite color combo -- so crisp and clean and Detroit Red Wing-ish! LOL Great card!!
ReplyDeleteI love this card! simply elegant!
ReplyDeleteI love red and white! And you're making me so happy I just ordered that Arched Lattice punch yesterday!
ReplyDeleteI'm happy! Love the layout.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this. Actually I had just sat down for a nice blog read and now I'm going to get back up and go into the craft room for a nice inspired craft session. Thanks!
ReplyDeletesee, now that is why you are so brilliant - you do this great stuff on purpose ... not haphazardly, like some of us!! LOL Yes, this is very pretty.
ReplyDeleteOh yes, this makes me very happy! I love to hear that you did this on purpose too! Though I thought most of your cards are created with intention. You analyze what works on a card - keep it up - I'm learning!!
ReplyDeleteIt does make me happy. Gorgeous card.
ReplyDeleteThis is the second red & white blog I have read today. I love the way the border punch looks against the solid red. Lovely!
ReplyDeleteOh No! I've been beating back my urge to get the dotted wave punch and now I absolutely have to have the arched lattice punch too.
ReplyDeleteYour style is so perfect, requiring so little expense, yet EVERY day I get Iwantitis and lust for something I don't have. I think here they call you an "enabler". But the beauty of it is that you've enabled me to know for sure I WILL use what I buy because it's like buying classic clothes vs. buying fad clothes.
The thing I love about this card is that the punched edge makes it girly but the button and stitched ribbon makes it dude ish, so that contrast balances to make me happy!
Thanks for sharing your genius.
Totally beautiful! That colour combo is fabulous, Jo x
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card! Love the design and the red and white are so crisp! Definitely a happy card!
ReplyDeleteI love the way you offset the main panel but put the ribbon across the whole card. Such an interesting layout. And what a great coincidence that you border coordinates so well with your flowers.
ReplyDeleteNice work. I like the layout here. What a fresh look.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty. It looks very matching! Love the red and white together.
ReplyDeleteooh very fresh. what a great job
