In keeping with Thursday's post of CAS scrumptiousness, here's an Ode to Holly. It's not quite as dramatic as the Ode to Mistletoe, but oh my golly it's jolly, don't you think?
Supplies
stamps: PTI Signature Christmas
ink: real red
paper: PTI white, Hobby Lobby green textured
accessories: holly punch, red rhinestones
Oh Susan, I think you have just solved my christmas card dilemma!!
ReplyDeleteI LOVED the cards you showed us on Wednesday but don't have that punch...I didn't think hard enough...I have this holly punch :)
I'm off to dig it out right now :)
Thanks once again for the inspiration!!
Well of course I had to go order that "mistletoe" punch pronto. I found it only at impressrubberstamps, thank heavens for Google!
ReplyDeleteI like the holly too, but the "mistletoe" tickles my fancy because it doesn't even resemble real mistletoe yet it calls to mind kissing under the mistletoe. It's light-hearted. I'm always looking for that because my cards all seem way too formal.
Today Feedburner didn't send a link to your Blog, which may be why there's only one comment on this card? Rhetorical question, if I was the only one who didn't get your Blog link today.
Sweet.
ReplyDeleteSimply lovely but the 'mistletoe' hits the buttons for me.
ReplyDeleteTFS the link to the punch Bahb ....
Bahb,
ReplyDeleteI scheduled the holly card to post at 1:00am Saturday morning. The craft room post was Friday's post. Usually, Feedburner sends the email in the evening or at night after I post, but their timing is a mystery to me. I got an email with both posts in one this morning.
I'm so glad you like the mistletoe card so much and actually found the fern punch! I bought that 7 or 8 years ago in a little stamp shop that's out of business, and it's not labeled with a manufacturer.
Susan
Oh my goodness... I've had BOTH punches for awhile... but now you've made me look at them in a different light! Thanks ever so much... plus your craft room storage is like my craft room storage bins... I feel normal :->
ReplyDeletePick me up off the floor! This is a totally stunning!

ReplyDeleteADORABLE! Theres something about a bit of bling on a cas card that just gives it so much personality!
ReplyDeleteThis card has me singing...."Have a Holly Jolly Christmas"...
Have a Wonderful Weekend Susan!
Cookie :D
Gorgeous, I love the curly font, it is one of the reasons the card works so beautifully
ReplyDeleteAnother beatiful card. I really am going to have to checkout PTI, they have such elegant sentiment stamps! (I tend to like to "see" what I'm buying, but there seems to be a lot of positive feedback on PTI's products...)
ReplyDeleteI think the shape of the leaves and the deeper green color really make this card stand out from the white background. Fun!
ReplyDeleteOh me oh my!! I have just found the card I want to CASE for my cards this year!! I love both of these. I am am a more is more girlie but these are just awesome..esp whne you ahve 80 to 100 to make. I can even get the kids involved in doing all the punching for me!
