Clean and Simple Fishy Scene

It's amazing how long my showers get in the depths of winter; all that hot water is so comforting. So here's a little tropical scene that represents my longing for warm water. Please excuse the pun. I had it so it used it.

I bought the ocean wave border punch (Martha Stewart) because Krystie Lee has one and I want to be cool like she is. The white panel is popped on dimensionals, but everything else is flat, flat, flat. The colors are bright and cheerful, and carry the design well enough without bling or other embellishment. At least I think so because every time I look at this card, I feel warm and have to smile.

stamps: A Muse (coral), PTI (fish, sentiment)
ink: SU passion pink, only orange; Palette noir
paper: SU cool caribbean, PTI white
accessories: dimensionals

  1. WOWZA!!! I LOVE THIS!! The way you did the scene is perfect....Makes it look like I am looking right under the water....Perfect!

  2. I agree, very cool!

  3. LOVE this card. especially the way you used the blue for the sky and the white for the water. you are a very clever girl!!

  6. I ALMOST bought the MS fish punch yesterday, as well as the arched lattice one, so I could be cool like you, but then I remembered how many punches and stamps and inks and papers I've bought so I could be cool like you, and I only ONCE came close but was still miles away.

  7. how do you do it?
    Ack! This is so cool.
I guess I figured out what I want to be when I grow up, a great crafter like you.

  8. i LOVE The way the bottom panel is popped up. gives aweseome dimension for hte wave punch! love the enabler comment, too! ha, ha. but think of it not as enabling...but as inspiring! :) snowy out here in maryland...must have to be stuck in side and stamp today!
