Hee, hee! This is my favorite card I've ever made with patterned paper. Except maybe the third one on this post. But I love how the flower is made of punched and inked hearts, and the leaves are punched and inked country hearts. That button (PTI vintage) totally rocks, too.
The inside is lined with the kindergarten writing paper because the card is ruby red cardstock, too dark to write on easily. I added a heart punch inside, too, just for fun.

stamps: PTI Signature Greetings, Green Thumb (stem)
ink: Palette chocolate chip, some green ink I can't remember
paper: ruby red and various patterened papers
accessories: heart punches, button, DMC floss

How cute is this! Any kid would be thrilled to get this --- and, I think, get a kick out of an adult writing on kids' paper! I love that you used punched hearts for this, it really adds to the card. Wonderfully creative card!
P.S. And I loved the whole story of the owl. "Fly free, owl!" is such a great end to the story.
Another fine design you've gotten us into, Susan. Wait, does that make sense? Anyway, I love the color combo and, of course, that paper!!

This card, like all your others, is beautiful. But I'm not sure that really qualifies as patterned paper, LOL! It's as clean and 'white' as patterned paper could possibly be! Let's call it "Late Blossom Patterned Paper". Thanks for the smile!

I just love this card because it's CUTE, and I have such a hard time making cute that doesn't look like a tired cliche. The button, the paper, the shape of the hearts........so original, so you, just perfect again!

I guess the problem is I never have good patterned paper like this stuff here. I always get overblown patterns, when I should be going more subtle, like this paper.
