Ginkgo Gets Framed

A few large post-it notes to mask, a scattering of pearls, and Bob's your uncle.

What does that mean, exactly?

Nevermind. Or never mind.

Whatever. Or what ever.

Take your pick.

For those of us in the U.S. and Canada, it's Labor Day weekend, and I'm never in my right mind on a holiday weekend, especially when it's so blazingly hot all I can think about is an ice cold Mike's Hard Lemonade.

Be safe. Have fun. Peace be with you.

And if you want to shop this weekend, Mark's Finest Papers is having a nice sale on stamps, paper, and ribbon. So is Coffees of Hawaii, only their sale is on, well, coffee (20% off, plus free shipping on orders over $80 after the discount).  I get nothing for telling you these, by the way. Just trying to enable be helpful.

Supplies
stamps: Framed, Harvest Berries, Mega Mixed Messages (all Papertrey sets)
ink: Memento
paper: Papertrey
accessories: large gridded acrylic block, light brown half pearls

Oh I love this card so much!!! This set is in my order that DIDN'T COME TODAY!!! I was stalking my mailbox until the mail came and I was sorely disappointed. The addition of the pearls is wonderful. 102 here today. Same tomorrow. Then we get a reprieve.

OK, so two things.
First, since I know how you feel about pears, somehow I feel comfortable telling you that around here, "Bob's your uncle" means Aunt Flow is visiting. Or, it's that time of the month. Etc.
Second of all, I am currently drinking my homemade version of a Mike's hard lemonade. Rawr.
Also, now I think I need the ginkgo set. Darnit.

Makes perfect sense to me...Bob's Your Uncle is "simple as that", "there you go", etc.
You are making me want this set more and more (and more)! Argh! I think I'm going to have to place my long-awaited PTI order very, very soon. This card is BEAUTIFUL.

Oh wow, do I ever like this! So clean, yet so elegant. I love this stamp, and framing it is genius. Adding the pearls instead of rhinestones really makes it special. Onecraftymama, I love your "Aunt Flow" explanation!

I have ladies coming over tonight to stamp and chat and eat snacks and was thinking of offering them an inspiration/challenge. I think I'll share your gorgeous design with them and see what they come up with! Thanks so much for giving me something to look forward to each day.

Besides your great cards - I love that your blog "makes" me think... After reading this post yesterday the phrase Bob's your Uncle kept rolling around in my head.
A quick Google search this morning and voila!

But, onecraftymama's explanation made me smile
