The Gratitude Campaign Needs Your Vote!

Right now, I'm grateful for Janelle's blog and the OLW66 Challenge this week. Goodness. Simple goodness.

And speaking of gratitude, today's card takes us back to the 2011 Gratitude Campaign with Papertrey's First Fruits, an older set that I just love. I blinged up the wheat because I could. The sentiment placement worked out pretty cool, don't you think?

Remember....

VOTE for the THANKFUL PARTY!

How is your personal Gratitude Campaign going? Are you going to send out Thanksgiving/Thankful for You cards this year? If so, to whom will you send them? How many are you planning to send? I'm aiming for thirty this year...ten more than last year. What are your thoughts?

Supplies
stamps: First Fruits
ink: More Mustard (SU), Rich Cocoa (Memento)
paper: vintage cream (Papertrey)
accessories: tiny brown gemstones

  1. Lovely card!

And yes, I hope to be sending out Thanksgiving cards this year. I say "hope" because right now I have to delay getting them done because I have to make a ton of "Thank You" cards for my husband. So, I'll squeeze in getting as many Halloween and Thanksgiving cards made as I can for my own use. I'm sure it won't be 30, though! LOL!! My circle of friends is not that big anyway.

  4. Probably around 10-time prohibits more than that. But I already have them planned.

  5. Perfect sentiment placement! Love it.

And I forgot about the thankful campaign you did last year - we don't have Thanksgiving here, so it's not connected to a calendar. But I think it's a wonderful idea. Off to make a list.

  7. I do love the placement of your sentiment! I have sent out two or three Thankful/Thanksgiving cards in the past to very special friends. Like you, I don't like that Thanksgiving is getting shoved aside and forgotten about. This year I think I'll shoot for 10 cards for sure.

  8. There are a couple of special people that I will send cards to. I started yesterday with our media assistant that got moved to another school this year.
I don't have a concrete number in mind, it will be a spontaneous thing.

  9. Oh Susan, this is SO gorgeous. I don't NEED that stamp set, but this alone makes me want to get it. I've sent out Thanksgiving cards for about 20 years now, to my 6 siblings & their families, and to my own kids' & grands. It adds up to be about 20 cards. I make an adult card and a kid card, and write individual notes in each, telling them why I'm thankful for them. They tell me every year how much they enjoy them, but they have no idea how much I get out of it. Absolutely love your card.

  10. Just finished Halloween cards. Getting a thanksgiving card ready for our Card Ministry on Monday and then I can start on my Thanksgiving cards. I will make about 10-15 this year. Have lots of Design Team work right now. Everyone wants a special post for World Card Making Day. Whewwww.
Beautifully simple card. Love the wheat!

  11. Thanksgiving is a wonderful opportunity to share our appreciation for people who support our ministry over throughout the year. I aim for 150 and so far have been able to accomplish it. This year, however, my oldest son is getting married early October and I am way behind in both Thanksgiving and Christmas (another 200). With the Lord's help and a terrific paper cutter it will get done!!

  12. Brilliant placement of the sentiment and bling, Susan!

I only do a few Thanksgiving cards - my parents who live 3000 miles away, and my best friend, her sister, and her mother who host a large Thanksgiving dinner every year and invite lots of us who are many miles from our own families. But I am trying to do more gratitude cards throughout the year for whenever someone does something kind or special for me, or is just there as a good friend all the time.

  13. And I forgot to say how I love the way you broke the wheat to put the sentiment there. How creative, and just lovely.

  15. You keep reminding me with your posts, and I keep forgetting when I get to my craft table. Maybe I need to pull all of my gratitude sentiments out so I'll see them and remember to make more thank you cards.

(And I may have been bored a few weeks ago and created a banner and set of buttons to share...)

  16. I don't normally think of wheat as blingy... but it works!
