Fair Isle Motifs...Again

Further proof that you simply cannot have too many kinds of inks, and you really, really, really need Kaleidacolor inks.

Yep. I might make a few of these. It was soooo easy, it's totally flat, and it's stunningly festive. The ink really does all the work here, adding so much interest to an already interesting image.

*happy sigh*

Why I Bought Fair Isle Motifs and Links to Useful Past Tutorials

This card.

I wanted to make this card, so I bought the set.

I don't have much to say about this card, other than I'm lovin' this set. It's so pretty! It's so easy!

Yes, you'll see more of this in the next few days.

Tutorial Links
Someone recently asked me how I get images placed so precisely. This question comes up frequently enough that I've done two different tutorials on it...one for precise placement with wood-mounted stamps and one for precise placement using clear stamps with gridded acrylic blocks.

I hope this helps!

Birthday Masking

Sometimes, I am lazy.

You're shocked, I'm sure. You never would have guessed this.

Sometimes, I think, "Gee, it would be cool to cut a mask for this image and layer it!" And then, my very whiny inner voice says, "That would be lots of wooorrrrrrk...."

My very whiny inner voice really gets in the way of creativity.

But not today.

Yep. That's as complex a mask as I could cut.

Aren't you impressed with my mad cutting skillz?

Sure you are.

Wet Paint

When Wet Paint was released by Papertrey, I was intrigued but decided to sit on it for a while to see if it still intrigued me later.

It does.

I bought it for my birthday.

What fun it is!

Isn't it fun with the funky heart from Heart Prints? The heart is stamped in Hero Arts Tomato and love is in Hero Arts Red Royal. I love how these two shades work so well together! There's plenty of difference to provide contrast, but Tomato is still nice and red, not pink.

I hope everyone in the USA had a wonderful Thanksgiving and holiday weekend. Our Stephen Ministry group handed out ornaments today, the ones that say Hope. After all, it's the Hope Sunday of Advent.

It's getting to crunch time for Christmas cards, and I am short by about 80. No worries. I'll just buy a few more boxes. There's no point in beating ourselves up with guilt if we can't hand-craft every little thing we send out, now, is there? Of course not. There are some lovely printed cards available.

How many Christmas cards are YOU sending out this year? Are you sending them? Why or why not? Inquiring minds, and all that....
