I can't make up my mind. See, the lined-up snowflakes satisfy my AR/OCD. It is also the first time I successfully used not just one but two giant rhinestones without feeling trashy.
But this bag.... Random RED flakes and sentiment stamped directly on the bag. My first time doing that. I was a virgin bag stamper. Scared the heck out of me. After all, what if I ruined it! Then I thought, if I ruin it, I can just COVER IT UP! Yes, I am a genius. And very brave.
But still indecisive.
I prefer the lined up snowflakes..something very orderly about it. Tidy. Pretty. I thoroughly enjoy your blog, you are seriously a hoot and I usually get one or two good chuckles per post. Thank you! :o)
ReplyDeleteBoth are pretty, but I would have to say the lined up ones are my favorite. I do have an accumulation of large rhinestones. I tend to use all the small ones. I did take your advise the other day and threw caution to the winds. I used 6 or 7 small rhinestones on one card!! Thanks for suggesting that life won't end if we use more than a few. Hope you have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteI, too, opt for the lined up one, and for the same reasons. Do you suppose, Susan, that your following is composed of likely OC's like yourself? I love the big fat rhinestones, too, but hesitate to use them. I think your "trashy" description totally fits the reasoning here. But they look really beautiful here, on these big, red snowflakes. The whole thing is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely the lined up flakes. Very neat and orderly, satisfying to look at. Sue may be right about your followers - I'm pretty sure I fit the A/R,OC category! Have a great week-end!
ReplyDeleteha!ha!ha!
ReplyDeletelaughed outloud at your title.
have i told you how much i enjoy your talents???!!!!
i totally like the random snowflakes on the bag! they are fun! they are happy! they are clean and simple!!
have a great weekend. marty :)
I, personally, prefer the lined up ones....
ReplyDeleteI like both of them on their respective "backs". Don't change either one of them. Wouldn't like the "lined up ones" on the sack and don't think I'd like the random ones on the card. You chose well :>)
ReplyDeleteWhy do we have to pick? For the card the 3 lined up are awesome. The bag is tall and the flakes would look too uniform if lined up - IMHO. Anyway, I think they are both awesome and they look like a set bea
ReplyDeletecause you used the same snowflake and colors - I am assuming that is what your intention was - to make a set.
I LOVE the lined up snowflakes...And the red on white is so pretty! I for sure have some OCD stuff going on too...Have a GREAT Weekend!
ReplyDeleteThey both look great! I'm known to be a fence-sitter, but here's my rationale: there's not enough room on the bag for them to be all lined up and you need 3(!) so they have to be random! ;)
ReplyDeleteI think both designs are very pretty
ReplyDeletebut I do prefer the snowflakes lined
up-- it is peaceful and lovely! On
the bag, however, the other design
works very well.
Another ocd vote for the lined up snowflakes!
ReplyDeleteYour blog is the first I visit after logging on. Thanks for the inspiration and laughs.
Hugs,
Colleen
Brave, indeed...two gems on one card--WOW! Who would have thought! As for indecision, random flakes would reflect that instead of all in a row (I think...)
ReplyDeleteI like the lined up snowflakes - think they are more your style. Not the randomness of the snowflakes on the bag! Just my 2c for what its worth :)
ReplyDeleteHey! Virgin is good! Anyway you do it. But I think because the bag is tall and thin and will be a bit skewed by whatever it holds, random is what it needs.
ReplyDeleteIf the snowflakes on the card all had the same visual weight (is there such a thing?) I'd like them lined up, the heaviest in the center flanked by the two lightweights. And if that isn't picking it to bits and pieces to the max, I don't know what is......I haven't seen you post a single thing that's not perfect, and I'm trying my best to hone my OCD/AR to your level of perfection. In a world doomed to randomness by design, the order you post here is divine relief. :-)
I'm still trying/learning to be simple and effective in my stamping, and it's oh soooooo hard for me! That's why I enjoy your blog and thought process so much. Since I haven't fully "crossed over though", I'd recommend adding some smaller snowflakes to the bag, in a random fashion, and then it would evoke falling snow to me! Yeeks...and then you could glitterize them too! Bad girl, send me to the corner.
ReplyDeleteSince it's Thanksgiving week - may I say thank you for sharing your time and your talent. Not only do I get a visual lesson, but you help me think outside of the box. You truly are making a difference, and I LEARN my reading your blog. Couldn't ask for anything else!
Sincerely, Beverly
I'm loving all the xmas cards and gift ideas over the last few weeks! Sorry I haven't visited, been busy with family issues. Thanks for all the fabulous inspiration!!!
ReplyDeleteYour blog is tha only one I laugh out loud at. My question is: why does my AR/OCD not extend to housecleaning? Thank you for your blog and for aharing the thought processes-I learn much from hearing how you made choices.
ReplyDeleteOK we all need therapy - I like the lined up ones as well - simple, beautiful, orderly, clean!
ReplyDeleteThe longer I follow your wonderful blog the more convinced I become that I am also OCD!!!! Does that mean I have caught a computer virus?? ;)
ReplyDeleteI love the orderliness of the snowflake card but agree with others that random placement is right for the bag.
BTW A very Happy Birthday, hope you are having a great day... and may you enjoy many more.
I shall be lost without my daily happy fix while you are otherwise engaged, hope you have a great time ... miss you already!!
Definitely the line up of snowflakes on the card! It really is a fabulous design with lots of impact.
ReplyDeleteI love them both but I would probably opt to do the random as I could not line them perfectly!
ReplyDeletebeautiful any way!!!
ReplyDeleteOh man, you want me to pick one?? I can't!! I like them both! Not even trying to be nice, I just really like them both!! maybe they are truely both awesome and that is why you are indecisive!! Yeah!!!
