Thud, Thud, Thud

That's the sound my head makes when I gently bang it on my craft table.

Thud.

Never have more innocent pieces of card stock been ruined in a single day than yesterday in my craft space. It was high tragedy, the murder of those pieces of expensive, white paper.

"Hark! What light through yonder window breaks? Why, it is Diana's full light reflecting off the naked backside of my sweet stamping Mojo, run away! Come back, come back, my sweet Muse! I have need of thee!"

Thud, I say.

Okay, so it's melodrama rather than high tragedy, but you know how I feel. Oh, yes. Every last one of you knows exactly how I feel. Next time you feel this way (and, sadly, there will be a next time), just picture your muse streaking naked away from you in the moonlight, pour a glass of wine, and wait for it to come skulking back.

It'll remember where it's supposed to be eventually.

Today, I murdered a few more pieces of paper but got there in the end thanks to Dumb Luck. Mojo is still off drinking a Mojito without me.

The floral stamp was inked with Memento Danube blue ink, sprayed with Glimmer Mist, and stamped. I repeated with blue sky ink. Fun and easy, up until my bottle clogged.

Does anyone know how to unclog Glimmer Mist bottles?

Thud, thud, thud.

Supplies
stamps: Clear and Simple Stamps (Kind Deeds), Papertrey (Mega Mixed Messages)
ink: Memento
paper: Papertrey
accessories: Glimmer Mist, rhinestones, sharpie (to color rhinestones), dimensionals, sheer ribbon

  2. I had a bad case of 'nojo' yesterday, along with a migraine. Double whammy. Your card, however, is lovely. Sweetly CAS, and lovely colors. If your Muse has stayed away, someone has come in her place. I quite love this! Bev

  4. Oh yes! You made me laugh because I had the same day happen to me on Friday. Expensive piece of white card stock one right after the other as I tried a masking technique and dropped the ink pad lid on it, sponged outside the mask, and tore the paper unintentionally!!! Yours is FABULOUS!!!! Simply Stunning!

  5. There is a Tattered Angels video that explains how to unclog the sprayer.

It's also recommended that the bottles be shaken gently from side to side rather than up & down,

Hope this helps. You can also buy replacement spray tops. ;-)

  6. Oh my goodness you cracked me up with this post! And yes, unfortunately I do know exactly what you're talking about-have I been there? oh have I been there! But what comfort you have brought (or is it wrought?) to/for me...to hear you speak of "murdering pieces of expensive white paper" was a healing balm as well as inspired a good dose of craft-sisterly love. She speaks my language!! haha-I see you did manage to save one "expensive piece of white paper" and what a gorgeous transformation it's been through. Love this card-probably as much for the creation as for the fact that Ms. Mojo ran off and you thumbed your nose at her! Oh yes, she will come "skulking back" but triumph is yours my dear:)

  8. Where have all the muses gone, long time passing ... thanks for the chuckle and perspective ... so been there, still there! Such a lovely mojo-less card, perfectly simple and gorgeous ... perhaps it sneaked back whilst you weren't looking! Anita :)

  9. Such misbehaving Mojo! Seems like all Mojos are in the same union, going on strike every now and then and always when we are unsuspecting....

Your card turned out beautiful nevertheless, so I´m sure your Mojo will back soon - she (or is it a he?) can´t let you be creative without her, can she?

    Greetings, Christine

  10. Susan I just had to comment on your wonderful post; you made me laugh out loud this morning and boy can I relate to every word. Do you think our missing mojos all hang out together having a great time while we 'murder' card?
Your card is beautiful - your muse may have gone a wandering but you are still wonderfully creative.

  11. I love that you asked this! Whomever - thanks for the "title" - I checked it out and will try the solution since I have 4 clogged bottles!

Thanks for the laugh too :)

  12. I just spent one of those days on Friday. New materials, plenty of time, lovely stuff--not an idea in my whole head. I tried CASE'ing something I liked and hated it when done. My solution is to walk away but keep looking at samples. I know that's hard to do when you are doing a blog. Keep the faith, and keep us laughing.

  14. Susan, your end result is so lovely - worth the frustration of clogged glimmer mist and wasted paper! And Diana, thanks for the link to the Glimmer Mist video!

  17. Simply gorgeous! Just remember, the best thing about that expensive white paper is that it's 2-sided! ;P

  18. LMHO - stunning card, Susan - sorry you feel you "murdered" some paper in the process!

Sorry I have not idea how to unclog a spray bottle - I turn mine upside down, and spray until it clears as a preventative measure :oP (it only wastes a little).
