Delicata Silver Ink and Premature Picture Taking

So, I have encouraged you to get the Delicata golden glitz ink because, you know, it's AWESOME. Now that I've tried the Delicata silver shimmer ink, I can say that it's VERY GOOD.

Not quite as awesome as the golden glitz, but close.

As you can see in the close-up, there's a nice shimmer to the Delicata, but it's not quite as impressive as the bright golden glitz. It registers silver-gray at a distance, and the shimmer isn't as obvious. Still, it shows up well and looks lovely!

It dries as quickly as the gold, too.

Definitely recommended!

Now, I've typed this post and just noticed I'd completely forgotten to draw silver lines to "hang" the ornaments, which means they are magically floating in space. It's Christmas magic, folks!

Are you buying that?

Reader Beth S. requested my opinion on the silver ink, so I'll just leave this post as is. It's been a long day, I'm tired, and I don't trust myself to draw those lines tonight.

Premature picture-taking.

How embarrassing.

  1. Beautiful card! I'm with you - the silver ink is nice, but not as wonderful as the gold. Still my go-to silver ink.

I don't know how many times I have taken a picture, gotten the file ready to post and THEN noticed something was wrong. So glad I'm not the only one ;)

  2. I entirely agree that it's fab but not quite as fab as the TOTALLY awesome gold! Love your make this morning and the magical "hanging" ornaments .... adding strings might just spoil the CAS effect .. IMHO

  3. The silver looks nice. It will be nice to see how the card looks with the lines.

  4. You won't catch me dissing your magical floating Christmas ornaments. I think they are quite fabulous. I added the gold ink to my Amazon wish list and noticed they have a copper ink as well.

  5. I kind of dig the whole floating thing. Don't sweat it.

  6. I do that all the time - take a pic and only notice something's wrong when I see it online on my blog. I get that you wanted your baubles to dangle but I quite like them floating like that.

  7. Love that you're keeping it real :-) I too, kinda like them floating... really, it doesn't look as odd as you would think when you say it out loud.

  8. Susan, you need to see the Delicata Copper ink. Yummy
(you made me buy the gold, I want to make you buy the copper:))

  9. I think it's amazing how the eye "fills in" what should be there.
I am positive I "saw" the hanging wires until you pointed out they weren't there!!!
    Very nice card!

  10. if you attach clear string, like floss, you can have them hang from something while maintaining some of the floating magic

  11. My eye filled in the lines, too. Love the shapes and colors.

Thank you so much for taking time to comment!
