Little Things: Day 5

I'm so excited about today's LITTLE THING because it's relatively new to me: Smooch. And yes, as someone observed in Wednesday's comments, all the LITTLE THINGS so far have involved bling and/or shimmer. Tomorrow will be more of the same. Saturday will not involve bling or shimmer. I promise!

I heart Smooch.

First of all, it's a great flat substitute for bling. Smooch's applicator allows you to put little dots of opaque, iridescent ink wherever you want. Like this:

Okay, tiny dots on a tree need a close-up for better effect.

This card would be BORING without those shimmery turquoise dots. I stamped the tree (Hero Arts) and sentiment (Shady Tree Studio) in Memento gray on white Papertrey cardstock. Then, I dotted the Smooch on. Complete transformation!

Second, Smooch can be painted like a rather dense, almost opaque watercolor. Check it out.

To make this card, I clear-embossed the flower stem (SU's Kind Words, I think) on white cardstock. Then, I used a little water to paint the red Smooch over it. If you water it down more, you get a softer, more transluscent look that totally mimics Twinkling H2Os, but I really wanted this to be thicker and streaky...adding more interest to such a simple card. You'll have to take my word that the shimmer of this is STUNNING!

The give-away today is two bottles of Smooch (gold and silver) going to one lucky winner who comments here on this blog post answering today's question. Remember: Email comments will not count for the drawing.

Smooch Give-Away Question
What LITTLE THING in your jewelry box makes you feel like royalty? I don't typically wear jewelry (other than my wedding and engagement rings which are of course special), but I recently bought a delicate and understated cross necklace that makes me feel happy.

  1. Love the subtle beauty of this, I have never used Smooch before, you're making me want some and my LSS has a variety of the yummy colors!

  2. I have a white gold very vintage ring(1900)that was my grandmother's - it has my engagement ring diamond in it plus little diamonds from a ring of my mother's - I love to wear it, but mostly save it for special occasions. I have never tried Smooch so it would be fun to win it.

  3. This looks quite amazing - I have not seen this product here at all, it must be quite new. I love the effects you have done.
The little something in my jewellery box (or actually around my neck) is a cultured pearl from a visit to Japan by my oh, and our local jeweller made a little cage for it, so I could wear it on a silver chain.

  4. I wear my favorite "diamond" star stud earrings pretty much every day. I love them!

    ReplyDelete
  5. I have a pair of earrings that were my first 14K which were from my children back some 35 years ago. They still make me feel special today.

    ReplyDelete
  6. I have a couple of Smooches, but don't use them enough. I will be now. Thanks for the inspiration.

I only wear jewelry for special occasions. But, when I want to feel special, I have a white gold and diamond circle pendant that my husband gave me. It's very simple, but it's simplicity is what makes it look so elegant.

  7. I love to wear a pearl necklace to dinner function, it makes me look elegantly dressed ...(from my daily haggard-jeans styled person..lol)

  8. I've never tried Smooch, but would love to. My husband gave me a small gold heart on a chain many years ago that I treasure beyond words. I absolutely love wearing it.

  9. Oh, that tree is divine! I love the dots of Smooch! I've always wanted to try it!
My little thing in my jewlery box that makes me feel like royalty is my engagement ring. My husband is a Jeweler, and he made it. Although it's not very big, it was his first crafted piece from scratch, and it holds the most sentimental value!

  10. Thank you for "explaining" smooch. I have yet to "need" it, but might need to add it to the list :-)

I love earrings! I have a bunch of pairs, but tend to always go to a silver and gold 2 tone hoop that my husband bought me many years ago from James Avery. They make beautiful quality jewelry and they always make me remember a weekend getaway to Atlanta (before kids).

  11. I've been wondering what exactly Smooch is so thanks for the info and the ideas!
I don't normally wear any yellow gold but I make an exception once in a while for the necklace my grandmother gave me for my confirmation. It's a yellow gold cross with a delicate pink rose on it. It's beautiful and wearing it makes me feel close to her.

  12. Shortly after my grandmother passed in June '09 I got a pkg from my grandfather, and it was my grandmas wedding ring set. I often switch between my own wedding rings and my grandmas, especially when I am really missing her and my grandpa.

  13. I have Smooch Spritz but not this... it looks awesome! As do your cards, of course. :P My husb gave me a lovely tiny open heart pendant on a very fine chain. One side has a ruby, the other a diamond. It's very special to me. :)

  14. I have never tried Smooch, but now I want some. It is beautiful on your cards.

Other than my wedding rings, my jewelry box is mostly cheap trendy stuff...except for one thing. My Grandmother had 17 children (yep, that's a 1 and a 7). At our family reunion last summer, my mother's family presented me (as the eldest grandaughter) with my Grandmother's family ring. It is a simple wide band with 4 rows of birthstones in it. My Grandmother wore it every single day, it was more special to her than her own wedding ring. I wear it when I want to feel close to her. My daughter is the first Great-Granddaughter, and I am to pass it down to her. I guess it is our one family heirloom.

  15. that smooch looks interesting, I have not played with this yet.... hmmm my jewellry box, I would say my delph blue earings from my wedding 32+ years ago, always make me feel special.

    ReplyDelete
  16. I've used Smooch a little before, but not as you showed today. What great ideas!

What little thing in my jewelry box makes me feel like royalty? I would have to say sparkly, dangly earrings!

    ReplyDelete
  17. Royalty... man you're going to think I'm crazy, low maintenance, can't clean and doesn't have a jewelry box. The only jewelry that's special is my wedding ring and that doesn't live in a box (if I had one).

    ReplyDelete
  18. Thank you for the smooch ideas -- my daughter wants to order some. I actually keep my watch and bracelets in a kitchen drawer so I can grab them on my way out the door. I have a mobius bracelet with The Lord's Prayer on it that my best friend gave me.

Oooooh! Now you are enabling me! Lol. I have no "Smooch" so I missing out! :) My favorite "little thing" in my jewelry collection are small-ish in size: REAL diamond earrings that my hubs bought me as a wedding present! I know, right? And they're from BORSHEIMS! Ack! Lol. Sorry to sound braggy but they are very special to me and I feel pretty special when I am wearing them! :)

PS - if you haven't heard of Borsheims you should Google it - it's pretty cool and it's here in Omaha! :)

  20. I have an heirloom stickpin from my grandfather. It is back to back seahorses holding an opal between them. Yes it makes me feel like a million bucks.

    ReplyDelete
  21. can't live w/o my wedding/engagement rings, but my most favorite is my Mother's Day necklace with my kids birthstones on it... reminds me of my blessings!

    ReplyDelete
  22. I haven't played with smooch yet - love the added dots to your tree! :) I've always wanted a heart pendant and I received one covered with little diamonds (my birthstone) from my SIL for my 40th birthday a couple years ago. Aside from my wedding rings, it's my favorite piece of jewelry.

    ReplyDelete
  23. I don't own a lot of jewelry, but the pieces I do have all are meaningful. The one piece that makes me feel special is a ring. When my mother died, I got the engagement ring my father gave her. It had several tiny diamonds. I divided them among my children and I kept two for myself. I had a ring made with those two diamonds and a small saphire which is my birthstone.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I SO need to try Smooch! Thanks for the enabling! For me, a pair of diamond ear rings that my hubby gave me makes me feel special, maybe not so much like royalty, but close!

    ReplyDelete
  25. I've never tried smooch. Looks like fun!!

Other than my engagement and wedding rings, I have my grandmom's wedding ring that means so much to me.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Beautiful cards. Wearing rings makes me feel like royalty. Besides my wedding & engagement rings, I love wearing two more on my right hand.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Lovely cards. I've never tried Smooch, maybe I should. I have a pair of pearl earrings that my husband gave to me. To me, pearls signify elegance. And they are made even more special because they were a gift from my guy.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I haven't tried Smooch. Now I need it. I have my mom's first engagement ring. She didn't marry the guy but he didn't want the ring back -- yay for me! It's a gorgeous diamond set in a classic 1950s-style like this one: http://www.antiquejewelrymall.com/r603.html.

    I simply {heart} it.

    ReplyDelete
  29. In my jewelry box I have the bracelet I wore at my wedding. It's so pretty with many aquamarines strung together!

    ReplyDelete
  30. Smooch. Hmmmm. I swore I wasn't going to get pulled in by yet another trendy item. Now you've got my interest. Hmmmmm. To smooch or not to smooch, that is the question. Great cards btw. My special jewelry item is actually two....my engagement ring I rec'd totally as a knock your socks off kind of surprise on our SIXTEENTH wedding anniversary (I guess he knew I would say "yes"!)and a 5 diamond band he gave me on my 50th birthday...a diamond for every decade. Yes, he IS a keeper!

  31. I am obsessed with dangly earrings. LOVE them... I have too many to count. However, I have this one pair of understated earrings that I wear all the time. They always make me oh so happy... I can wear my hair up or down and they dont get in the way! Love it!!

Smooch is something I recently discovered as well. I have not gotten into the colors yet though, and I never even thought of that painting idea! Genius!!

  32. Love your two uses of Smooch! I've never tried Smooch, but you've made me want to! I have a blue topaz ring that my great-grandfather gave to my great-grandmother on their 50th wedding anniversary in 1957. I also have a long crystal necklace that my sister gave me about 10 years ago--crystal stations with a gold ring around each. I love it and wear it often and always think of my sister when I do.

  33. When I put on a black top or dress and add my squash blossom necklace, I don't just feel special; I AM royalty!

  34. I've never even heard of Smooch, let alone use it. But I'll take your word for it. If you say its good that's good enough for me. Fav little thing in my jewelry box would have to be my diamond ear-rings: my great-grandmother's diamonds, set to a design drawn by my mom- its very special to me.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I have never tried smooch, but it looks wonderful, guess I need to find some here in my area...

If I want to feel elegant, I like to wear my grandma's pearl necklace. Then, I really feel like a princess. But its too precious to wear it every day.

    Have a nice day,

    Sandra

  36. My engagement ring, which is really very simple and not to flash, is my all time favourite piece of jewellery.
Might have a lot to do with the man who gave it to me :)

    ReplyDelete
  37. Great cards. I haven't tried Smooch yet, I have so much that I didn't want to like anything new in case I need it multiple colours. Your ink enabling was bad enough! I used to happy with just my SU inks - no longer... Another story.

My favourite piece of jewellery is a pair of small garnet earrings that my DH gave me even before we started dating. I should have known then. Anyways, they are on small hooks, like the old fashioned dinner sets with pewter wire coiled around them to look like flowers. They always make me feel loved.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Love the smooch effects, it's on my list! No apologies needed for sparkle or bling, love it.

Jewellery - earrings are my staple and I love small ans simple but with a blast of colour.

  39. loved this ..smooch goes on my shopping list have only discovered how to post a comment apart from e mailing I wonder how many other dodos there are like me who are computer beginners not many I'm sure. pamela

  40. Oooooooh - I WANT SMOOCH!!!!

Well I have an item of jewellery which I had made and that always makes me feel special - it's a band of gold which looks like three "swathes" of gold joined together by three emeralds (my birth stone) and I wear it as a wedding band since I can no longer wear my real wedding band - which makes it doubly special.

Happy Thursday Susan and all your readers

  41. I have a set from Tiffany that I have gotten from my boyfriend that I really treasure. I wear the necklace every day. :-)
And I also love big hoop ear rings for when we go out.. ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  42. I have tons of earrings, but I really love a tiny set of black hills gold hearts that hubby got me years ago. Thanks again for a chance!

  43. This Smooch is new to me; I've only seen the spray. I have a silver filigree bracelet that belonged to my mother, who has been gone since 1965. I'm now 13 years older than she got to be, and I feel like I'm bringing her along with me.

    ReplyDelete
  44. I will need to try using Smooch with water! I dont have very much jewelry but for Christmas one year I asked for a silver watch and my husband bought me a Movado! I did not even know he knew what one was. I only wear it occassionally and when I do it makes me feel special.

  45. my bottles of Smooch will now do more than look pretty all lined up (they get my vote for best packaging!). Susan, thanks for the encouragement. My favorite little thing in jewelry is a simple silver hammered ring, made to benefit Haiti by Mapou Foundation my friend here set up. My little ring is stamped with "KOURAJ" - Creole for courage. Their motto is "one link at a time, we will make a difference." here is a link to paste, if anyone is interested:

  48. I haven't tried Smooch but after how you explained it I will. My favorite special piece of jewelry is my Solje. It is a circle pin from Norway with little discs attached and it is worn on the traditional costume. My Grandmother gave hers to my Mom and my Mom gave it to me. I wore it on my wedding gown and often do for special occasions. I am proud of being Norwegian American.

  49. I am not really a jewelry person and yet John has given me literally a treasure chest of expensive jewelry. I have one pair of diamond earrings that are gorgeous and I honestly do feel special wearing them. I've never bought Smooch but it sounds good.

    ReplyDelete
  50. For everyday - I love my pearl earrings. But when I really want the "Queen's bling" I wear my mother's diamond ring!

Looks like I need to try out some smooches! Lovely. Are they the same as Liquid pearls or more shimmer?

    ReplyDelete
  51. Your card with the tree is wonderful, love the touch of Smooch.
I have 3 pieces of jewelry that I always wear besides my wedding set. 1st is my grandmother's filigree diamond engagement ring (1922), second is a necklace with a diamond pendant that dh gave me on our 6 month anniversary (#10 is at the end of April)and the 1st piece of REAL jewelry I bought for myself when I was single-a dainty gold ring with 3 teeny diamonds.

    ReplyDelete
  52. I've been wondering about Smooch and how it differed from other bling products. Thanks so much for clearing that up!

My favorite little thing in my jewelry box is my black pearl ring. It brings back special memories of a vacation visiting a treasured uncle who died way too young. I put the ring on and I'm 12 again, in California, with him.

  53. The jewelry that most makes me feel "royal" is a lovely freshwater pearl necklace my hubby gave me. The pearls are dark with shimmers of green, brown, even purple - it goes with almost everything. When I wear it, and I wear it often, I think of him and feel treasured.

    ReplyDelete
  54. I love your little touches of bling. My daughter, (now a mama) has started beading and made me the most stunning earrings. Which is all I wear. I look at those earrings and go "Wow, she gets me." Amazing what a little bling in your life can do.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Wow!! Gorgeous cards!!! I love them!

The one thing in my jewelry box that makes me feel like royalty is, my pearl necklace my grandfather gave me for my 18th birthday ;) it's very pretty!

    ReplyDelete
  57. My real diamond studs do it for me. I have LOTS of jewelry, and some nice pieces in there, but I can't think any of it beats real diamonds. These are little, which is what I wanted, and I love them. Love your cards, too! I'm so glad to see smooch used! I got some smooch spritz that just sprays on in globs, so I wasn't impressed (future tutorial from you on using this correctly?), but YOUR smooch looks fantastic! I may have to give it a go!

    ReplyDelete
  58. Smooch looks interesting, haven't seen it in reality at all over here......thanks for the introduction....don't use me in the drawing as I'm across the pond! I just wanted to thank you for letting us know what it actually did.

  59. I feel like royalty when I wear my pearl necklace; it's delicate with a single pearl and a tiny diamond. My husband bought it for me when we were traveling in the Caribbean for our honeymoon!

  60. My Dh gave me a beautiful gold crucifix the night before our wedding (almost 19 years ago!). I cherish it and never take it off. That is my "little thing". :)

My "royalty" piece of jewelry is my anniversary diamond ring. My husband bought it for me after we'd been married 10 years. We're going on 23 years now and it is a constant reminder of our love and devotion!

  63. Nice cards! I don't have any "smooch" so it's nice to see cards using it.
My little thing in the jewelry line that makes me feel special is the gold necklace my dad surprised me with one Christmas many years ago. He wasn't a big gift giver, so he really blew me away when he handed me that little box. He's gone now, so I really love that necklace and wear it in honor of him.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Have never used Smooch but looks interesting. Neat cards.

I have a pearl ring that I really like but seldom wear-also a small pair of gold hoop earrings that I wear most of the time.

    ReplyDelete
  65. I have never tried Smooch. Now is the time!
My "royalty" is a ring my husband gave me many years ago. It is a very comfortable ring to wear. Although my husband is deceased now, wearing that ring everyday gives me comfort.

  66. I haven't tried Smooch before, but now I'll have to pick some up! Your cards are fabulous! The little thing in my jewelry box that makes me feel like royalty is a small pendant necklace that my husband gave me when our little one was born.

  69. When I was very little , my Mother had a rhinestone tennis bracelet. Many years later, she threw it out, but I retrieved it from the garbage. Even though I don't wear it, looking at it makes me feel like I have diamonds just like I thought when I was three.

My fav. little piece of jewelry is my plat./diamond necklace, it is dainty & perfectly beautiful to wear every day, which I do! My hubby gave it to me the first Christmas we were married eons ago ~ I love it (and him!) so much!!! :)

  72. Jewelry? Not really my thing. My wedding ring (which no longer comes off due to arthritis), a watch, and stud earrings are my only jewelry. I just can't be bothered to coordinate jewelry with clothing nor do I want the expense. I can't honestly say that any of that makes me feel like royalty, but I would feel naked if I didn't have my earrings in.

The only Smooch I have is the spray stuff, and I haven't even tried it yet. Again, luverly cards, my dear!!

  73. I like the idea of Smooch - however I love my Twinkling H2Os (ALOT)

My favorite jewelry is my pearl necklace especially since my parents gave all 5 daughters them as Christmas presents one year. I love looking at dressy family photos (weddings, baptisms, etc) and seeing my 4 sisters & I all wearing our necklaces.

  75. I have a floating opal (which most people have never heard of) that belonged to my Mom. Someone went in her house while she was in a nursing home and cleaned her out so I packed up her books and put them in storage. Years later, I was going through some of these boxes and there, wrapped in a paper towel and in a box holding one of her old Bibles, was this gift! I feel close to her when I wear this on very special occasions! It's almost like she hid it for me! Have never used the Smooch but love what it does on your cards! Thanks for the chance to win!

I have Smooch Spritz which is amazing but haven't tried the fancy bottled Smooch paint. It looks beautiful on your cards. Silver &/or gold would be nice to use for a wedding card.

Hidden in my jewelery box are 2 necklaces with 6 pearls at stations that my 2 granddaughers are to get at 16. They are now 10 & 7. The necklaces are from my late mother-in-law who was actually a step-grandmother to them. They called her "GG" at her request ~ for Great-Grandmother.

  87. Smooch - I have never used it before. Wow, what a transformation!

When my mother passed away, I took her the three stones out of her Mother's ring and had them set in a necklace. The gold setting looks like a small branch. Wearing it reminds me of when my brothers and I gave the ring to her when we were young.

The piece I love isn't even mine. I made a knotted pearl necklace for my grandmother. It was freshwater pearls with semi precious stones interspersed. She gave it to my mom just before she died a few years back. My mom wears it for special occasions and I have worn it twice. It is truly special and makes me feel very royal.

  93. It would be awesome to win Smooch. Thanks for offering.
As for jewelry, I don't wear much. I did receive my Mom's beautiful diamond earrings before she passed. I have always treasured them. Recently, my DD wore them for her wedding as her "something borrowed" When she came to return them, I told her to keep them. I think her Grandma would have liked that.

  94. To feel royal I put on the long feather earrings that my eleven year old grand daughter made for me for Christmas.
I would love to try some Smooch colours, thanks... rhea

  95. Years and years ago I worked for a jeweler; never took home a paycheck - could buy things at cost. I got a gorgeous diamond ring - beautiful center stone in a fantastic setting with baguettes on side. Only way I could afford it - at cost. Feel so special wearing it!

  96. Oh dear! Now I might have to buy some Smooch (if I don't win the draw). I love shimmer and have tried to pretend Smooch didn't exist as I didn't want to add another product to my collection of glitter, Stickles, Twinkling H2Os, etc.

I wear a gold and silver ring made by a Pacific Northwest Coast First Nations jeweller. The carving on it depicts the raven with the sun in his beak (in their legends, the raven returned the sun to the sky after the world went dark). My ex-husband gave it to me for our 5th anniversary and after our divorce, I decided to keep wearing it as it is so unique and special - I get so many compliments on it (and it often starts conversations with total strangers) that I feel like royalty whenever someone stops me and mentions it.

  97. My mother handed down a pink sapphire ring that was her aunt's and it's special because of it being a family heirloom. My daughter is anxious to be the next heir in line! I love the way the smooch added texture and shine to your card. I may have to try that!

  98. Beautiful cards, Susan. I have not tried smooch, but maybe I will now--if I win! I have a small cross I bought in Egypt that I wear as a necklace. Small, plain gold, but brings back many memories of a trip to "where it all began".

  99. Love that tech with embossing and water coloring the smooch!! I have a pair of earrings that are just gergeous. They have a large natural pearl in a gold setting. I feel positively Grace Kellyish in them. And, that is where the similarity ends. LOL

  100. I am always loosing earrings from the cheap to expensive ones, so I tend toward inexpensive ones that my niece makes from beads. I wear the "fish hook stoppers" and that doesn't guarantee I won't loose one. My favorite jewelry is a three diamond ring with white gold made by a CA designer in a very unique design that does not have the standard "prongs" to hold the diamonds. Sorry I don't have the exact words to describe it, but it is beautiful to me.

  101. I've never tried Smooch before, so thanks for the chance to win some to try!
I wear a ring my Mom gave me that is an unusual shape, and I get a lot of compliments on it. It's gold with diamonds on it, and the ring has a curved shape to it. Lovely!

As for jewellery, I am so fond of earrings and have a huge collection from tiniest to the large ones. They are all very special. love them to pieces :)

  103. My husband gave me the most beautiful sapphire earrings for Christmas. They are exquisite. I definitely feel like royalty wearing them.

  104. Your cards today are gorgeous!

I have a ring that I wear everyday. I bought it while in my early 20's...I put it on layaway so I could afford it. :) I still love it to this day.

  105. Susan, great cards! I have one bottle of smooch and love it. Didn't know you could paint like you did on the red card. Very cool idea.
My jewelry that makes me feel like royalty? Hmm. I don't wear much jewelry because of metal allergies. I love to wear my wedding band and my family ring that my hubby gave on our 15th wedding anniversary. I had always wanted one and now have one!

  107. I have a pearl ring that belonged to my mother. It has a lovely, simple old fashioned setting. It makes me smile just to think about it.

I want to learn to love Smooch! Pick me!

  108. Thanks to your wonderful tutorial, I now know what to do with Smooch.Fantastic! For 2 years my wedding ring was missing. How guilty I felt about losing it! I had searched everywhere(I thought)both inside and out. Then one day while cleaning, I had picked up and then dropped some coins. To reach them, I had to move a large cardboard box,and there, under the box, lay the ring! Lost but now found. Oh,joy! Annette S.

  109. My husband hasw given me several beautiful necklaces, but the blue abalone pendent that shimmers like water (like the Smooch) makes me feel elegant!

  110. I can't wear much jewelry due to allergies so my wedding ring, my ten year anniversary ring and my 25 year anniversary rings are my "royalty" feeling bling!

  111. I love that top card, those blue accents really do the trick for that card! I've never used smooch before but I must add that to my list.

As far as jewelry goes I cherish a little scarab hanger I bought in Egypt long time ago. My mother wore it to bring her luck when she was ill and now it's my turn. That little scarab is working his ass off to give me all the luck I need!

  112. I have not tried Smooch before, but it looks like I need to. Love these cards. I am not much of a jewelry person, but recently I bought a couple pendants I found at a craft show. The lady takes recycled bottles and makes the most beautiful pendants out of them. Now they are my favorite things to wear.

  113. I have a small hydrangea pin that is very sparkly and always makes me feel good when I wear it! I would love to try the smooch effect!

  114. I have just one bottle of Smooch I haven't used - now that I have your inspiration to guide me I'll try it today.
Any of my Holly & Yashi earrings make me feel dressed up - they are titanium, light and airy and look wonderful.

  115. The tree card is really amazing! Thanks for the info on the Smooch applicator. I haven't bought any and I just assumed it had a brush applicator much like nail polish. It's nice to know you can get such a small precise application! I will have to try some of this stuff now.

The little thing in my jewelry box that makes me feel special and happy is a tennis bracelet that has what look like little snowflakes in diamond chips. My husband bought it for me as a total surprise for one Valentine's Day and I love it.

  116. I've never tried Smooch because I didn't like the spray I bought. After reading your blog today - I will have to give it a try.
I have a cross necklace that makes me feel special when I wear it because it was given to me by a very special friend.

  117. Oh I'd love to try Smooch.
My favourite piece of jewellery was my Gran's engagement ring, but it was taken when we were burgled - very sad. Now it's a necklace that was my Mum's.

  118. Just dropping in while on vacation to wish you a happy anniversary. Thank you for all your clean and simple inspiration. Has it only been two years?

Please don't enter me in the drawing, though.

  119. Smooch looks interesting - I would like to try it!

I have a black cameo which my husband brought me back from Pompeii. It is carved on lava, and has a head of Venus. I feel pretty royal when I wear it.

  120. Oh my, what a difficult question...I have alot of pieces thaat are special to me for one reason or another, but I have to say I love my tanzanite rings the best...I have 3! :)

  121. I have a beautiful heart necklace given to me by my daughter and granddaughter that is dear to my heart. I also cherish the family ring my husband had made for me using my fathers wedding band. Your card is beautiful. I have never used smooch but after seeing your card I want to!

  122. I heart Smooch, too, especially the new colours this year! TFS more cards & ideas. I have a pewter lapel pin in a Celtic design that is meant to be a reminder that I am 'a magical being'. Not sure if that's true, but it gives me a lift when I see it on the lapel of my coat! ;-)

  123. Oooh, the Smooch is pretty.

My birthstone is blue topaz (December) and a few years ago my husband stepped out of character and got me some earrings (blue topaz teardrops hanging from pearls) that make me feel like Liz Taylor if she didn't have all the husbands, money, fame, and perfect eyebrows.

  124. My favouritest is a set of pendants my dad gave me for each special birthday or year, when I turned 18 then 21 and then 30 and then when my little girl arrived :)

  125. My hubby just bought me earrings and a necklace for our 25th anniversary. Silver of course and I wear them every chance I get. They are gorgeous.

  126. What LITTLE THING in my jewelry box makes me feel like royalty? I would have to say, my engagement and wedding ring. I (and my husband) actually have "beater" rings that we wear every day. I had lost a stone in my engagement ring and the store had closed and my husband had to replace it on his own. So we bought nice gold bands to wear every day and when I want to glitter, I wear the real rings.

  127. lovely card Susan! the smooch really does add that 'little something'! great job!

my little jewelry thing? my anniversary ring...it represents so much to me and it's diamond-y and sparkly, definitely makes me feel Queen-like!

  129. I love my diamond circle pendant necklace that I got from my cousin for my birthday. It's so simple, but so glam!

  130. I love sparkle, shimmer and jewels! My favorite is an antique swarovski crystal. It is triagular in shape and my husband wrapped it with 14 ct gold wire, very wispy. Love the crystal, love my husband and I need me some of that smooch.
