I adore the flower from SU's Delight in Life set. Using a mask cut from a post-it note, I repeatedly stamped it across the card in VersaMagic chalk ink for a very soft look. The sentiment is stamped in VersaMagic using a stamp from SU's Sincere Salutations.
My original plan was to put Stickles in the centers of the flowers, but when I got this far I stopped. It's so soft and pretty just as it is!
So pretty!! I'm glad you didn't add the stickles. Not that it wouldn't have looked good if you did, but it's fabulous as it is.
ReplyDeleteIt's just beautiful as is. Love both of those sets and have used those sentiments lots.
ReplyDeleteAH! It's been a while since I have used this set. I forgot how great it looks!
ReplyDeleteThis is one of my all-time favorite SU! flowers. What a very pretty card
ReplyDeleteUnderstated beauty in all its simplicity ~ I love it :o)
ReplyDeleteVEry nice -- and I agree, no need for stickles. Although I know you like your bling... ;)
ReplyDeleteI am awful at masking. I do have this set, though, and may try a little masking with it. I love the flower.
ReplyDeleteI love that flower as well! Beautiful card, Susan!!
ReplyDeleteMasking SHOULD be simple, shouldn't it? I can't seem to get the mask to last through more than one stamping because ink DOES get on the mask. Do you use a certain kind of paper and adhesive to do yours?
ReplyDeleteI would love to do a card that soft and beautiful.....oh Lordy I feel a search for yet another stamp coming on!
Ooops! I see you use a Post It for the mask. Yes, that's what I've used. I will try again and hope I can use one mask more than once.
ReplyDeleteStill one of my favorite sets. Love this one, too.
