Going All White? Go with Texture

After seeing a couple of paper weaving projects in various magazines at Barnes & Noble, I wondered, "To weave, or not to weave? That is the question."

To weave, it is!

After tearing strips and weaving the background from Neenah Solar White 80lb paper, I ran a large scrap of the same paper through the Cuttlebug using the StampinUp Subtle Textile embossing folder. Then, I punched the snowflakes from that textured paper. The sentiment strip is vellum with white heat embossing.

There's so much going on here with texture, and it all works for me! What do you think?

And is anyone else in the U.S. longing for winter? Snow would be really nice about now....

Mercy, grace, peace, love, and kindness,
Susan

  1. What a beautiful card! It looks very complicated but really isn't. I'm not ready for snow yet but if it were 80 instead of high 90s that would be great. We need rain here in Ontario too. It's very, very dry. Liz

  3. This is so cool! I tend to be a color girl in cardmaking but you have made all white so spectacular! Now about that snow...not so much :)

  4. Yes, a wonderful all white card, Susan, and yes to snow as I've hated this hot and humid weather.

  6. I love white on white and texture adds interest. Not quite ready for winter yet - I love fall too much to bypass that. Cooler temperatures would be welcome though!

  7. No snow please! The current crops are looking good, the peas got burnt up from heat though we got 2 snacks out of them! Green beans are in 2 patches, first one will be gleaned today by a neighbor...so please no snow.
Move into the air-conditioning, that's my suggestion!
White on white, you did fabulous. Glad to see you are using that Cuttlebug...I use one of mine in one way or another for almost every card I make.
Thanks for sharing your card. Faye
