Alan Rickman Inspired My Valentine

Y'all, I was so shocked and saddened last week by the news that Alan Rickman died. I LOVED him in Sense and Sensibility, in which he played a good guy (rare for him), and I laughed at his portrayal of a frustrated actor in Galaxy Quest. He played a lot of really bad guys really well, and his Severus Snape--such a complicated villain--was nothing less than brilliant.

That performance in the Harry Potter movies inspired my Valentine for today's blog post.

"Always."

  1. Not a great week all round, David Bowie also one of my favourites. Another great role to add to the list above is Obadiah Slope in "The Barchester Cronicles" circa 1982. Such a big loss and such a beautiful card.

  3. Have you seen Truly, Madly , Deeply? He was a good guy in that one, too. Go see it. It'll inspire you to make a Truly, Madly, Deeply card.

  4. My heart is broken. I have a "fan" board on Pinterest, and he was one of the first people I added. My favorite Alan Rickman movie: "Something the Lord Made." Mr. Rickman, I'll miss you. Always.

    1. "Something the Lord Made" is a phenomenal movie. Alan Rickman & Mos Def both just blew me away with their performances in that. Definitely one of my favorite all-time movies.
